No good news for me :(

Still don't have a work permit. Of course never heard anything about my AOS.

EAD card is on its way to me, but I will have to send it back because it has a spelling error. Even though I let them know about the misspelled name months ago, tier 2 told me on the phone today that even though I got a notice that it was changed, it was never changed in their system.

Gotta wait another 2 - 3 months for EAD. Who knows when I will hear about my GC.

Congrats to everyone who has their EAD/GC.

2012: met the woman of my life

June 2014: filed I-129F

May 2015: visa in hand - got married (L)

June 2015: filed I-485 and I-765

October 2015: EAD

November 2015: Potential Interview Waiver Notice

February 2016: AOS Case transferred to San Francisco office

March 2016: GC in hand (no interview)

Hi all,

My husband received a letter today with the title

"Notice to conditional permanent resident alien" and I found it weird because some of the information is handwritten with red pen. Like his name. Also on DOB it had 12/30/2014 which is the day that he entered the US, not his day of birth.. What is this about?

Also, for Class it says CF1. I am not sure what this means. Has anyone else reveived this type of letter?!

On my RFE there was something handwritten (red ink), too. It said something about the joint sponsor and above "joint sponsor" they have written the name of my sponsor in red ink. But only that not the whole letter..

Personally IMO a interview date and notice to appear is a lot faster and the green card will arrive in around a week or 2. I just went through mine and I am glad it went well and I have my green card in hand. We are done until ROC.

Typically those who receive a NPIW letter get their AOS approved later, though there's no guarantee an interview will happen sooner, either.

I received the NPIW a while back and so we're in the waiting game. In my personal case, it's a good thing as I'm currently out of the US and receiving an interview date would be VERY complicated. And because both AP and EAD are in my hands, I'm ok to go about my life.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

First of all congrats on your son's gc approval. I don't have exact answer to your question but I remember that my friend's daughter got her EAD approved two weeks before her mother. I don't think there is anything to worry about just be patient. I am going to work tomorrow, my first day. I feel anxious a little bit because it is something different that I used to do.
