We are now at 101 days of waiting; no RFE's, and no word except original messages about our three forms being received on June 19, 2015. We got our Senator's office involved and he submitted a request to USCIS for a status update. USCIS said that our EAD and AP papers were currently under review with an officer and that our AOS had been transferred to Agana USCIS field office for interview waiver consideration (In Guam) which was suppose to even out the load among all USCIS offices. Pittsburgh is our local office. We then contacted our attorney and she did some more digging and was told we will hear by October 10 about the EAD/AP applications. She also told us that from our Senator's letter, we should get an interview letter soon. I'm not sure what she meant by that; meaning, are we going to be required to attend an interview or not? It's all very confusing, and although I am happy so many of you have received your approvals by now, there are some of us well past 75 days which seems to be the average wait time. So, for those of you still waiting, you are not the only ones. I'm not sure why it's so different for a process which follows up on intensive investigations being done at the K1 visa level, but I guess it's just the way it is. So, now a US Territory, Guam, is evaluating our AOS application.

So sorry you are still treading water in the AOS process. According to USCIS website, Guam does process I-485 applications, so sounds plausible. I sometimes look at the May AOS thread and they too had several stragglers who, for whatever unexplainable reason, received their combo cards much later than the majority of others in the thread. Hope you hear something soon - one other place you could lodge an inquiry is through the Ombudsman's webpage http://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance. They are the overseers of USCIS and since your combo card is well outside of the 90 days they would look into things for you too. Best of luck!

PS My family is from a town not far from Williamsport.

The same thing happened to me and another person I've been talking to.

Go here https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.doand put in a service request for "Did not receive card by mail" It takes about 30 days for them to answer, and they might make you wait 30 days for the lost card. In both mine & the other persons cause, USPS sent it back to USCIS as it was unforwardable, and lost it for almost a month in the forwarding center.

You should also change your address, again, separately, for each pending case. We've moved twice and the original address had our interview waiver letter sent to it. Mildly terrifying that they can't keep track of mail.

Good luck!

Thanks so much for replying to my post and for your advise. I have submitted a request for another one to be mailed out. USPS also called me this morning to let me know that it has been sent back to USCIS. Do you think there would be a need to involve ombudsman in this situation. It's now been 18 days till it was mailed out. Thanks for your help

Well, I'll eat my words about our very long wait. Received this email today:

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On September 30, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC15xxx, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This step applies to applications that result in an applicant receiving a card (such as a "green card") or other document (such as a naturalization certificate, employment authorization document, travel document, or advance parole). Applications will be in this step from the time the order to produce the card/document is given until the card/document is produced and mailed to the applicant. You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center.

I guess this means our interview has been waived, which makes me happy, and there isn't a 8-10 month wait for a green card.. Also this might mean the reason we haven't heard anything on the EAD/AP is because it won't be needed. Like everyone else, I share this information so that everyone can get a better understanding on how this process might work for respective cases.

Thank you all for your good wishes. Even with our interview waived and a green card on its way in the next 30-60 days, we still do not have any word on the EAD/AP card. I'd really like to start the process of getting the SS number and Drivers License. Seems like our approvals are going in reverse order.

Hi All,

Just looking for advise. My EAD was sent to the wrong address and was kept at the forwarding center for the last two weeks. I contacted the USPS and they confirmed that my card was sent back to USCIS but I haven't received any update yet. I submitted a service request to USCIS on Sept 27 and I got a reply saying I should hear something by Oct 19th. So my questions are 1) what's the timeline like for a card to be replaced? 2) Would it be worth it to contact ombudsman in this circumstance? Thanks all

So, after receiving an email about my EAD getting approved, we finally received something in the mail... and it's another one of those I-797C Notices of Action. I thought the EAD was a card?

Can anyone clarify that for me?

(Don't forget my AP was approved separately, so I would never would have received the combo card anyway.)

There doesn't seem to be any consistency on how all of us receive our approvals. We received approval on our AOS with green card to arrive by November 29, without a letter of any notice of a possible waiver. It was totally a surprise. As we still await any information on our EAD or AP, which is now on Day 105, we receive a letter from USCIS that states:

"Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing."

Meanwhile, many people have been processed with their EAD/AP's well after our date (June 19, 2015). And, since these are all processed at the same center at Lee's Summit, MO, it doesn't make too much sense to me. I can only deduct that there is not a standard process "in the order received and timely and efficient manner", So, for all of you just waiting, you can't really go by what the statistics tell you. It's seems very random and "anything goes". I guess we should be happy that we are getting our green card in a few months without an interview, five months after we filed, but it still doesn't make a lot of sense.
