Hi Everyone,

I applied for my Aos on June 15th. I received the notice of approval for my EAD on August 21st but I haven't received my card yet. When I call USCIS, they told me there's a delay in card production and could take up to 60 days to receive my card. Has anyone else experienced this? Can anyone advise me what steps I should take?

Thanks so much

What does your online status say when you check it, does it say that they mailed your card to you, or it is still approved?

As soon as they mail you the card you should get it within 2 days!

So today is two weeks since we applied for ssn cards. Just called my local SSA office to ask how's it going with my ssn, she said they didn't get any updates yet regarding my data in the system, so frustrating everything takes months in each process....

Some people have been successful in getting their numbers before the card arrives, by visiting their office again. Our office said that isn't an option for us. Hope yours comes soon.

Guys I need your help, I couldn't stop, so I gave another call to the SSA again, and another lady said that she can't even see anything pending under my receipt number from the last time I visited them, so she advised to come back again seems like nobody did anything on my name change and didn't even try to do that. So guess I will go there today again.I remember somebody told the same story, guess it was Avania.... I'm just affraid they won't help me cause in the receipt it says 4 weeks, but I don't wanna wait 4 weeks for nothing if they didn't even do anything yet....

Inna yup same happened to me, once you go back to the ssn office they will confirm you and then you will get the card early next week. Some of them are so sloppy and don't give a rats behind to complete their job. When the guy helped me, he told me I'm cleared with DHS and the SSN takes 24 hours or less to generate then its mailed next day. By the way, be prepare to hear some bull ####### excuse of them blaming DHS

So fed up...

Called USPS again about my card, they say they have "no idea where it is." Great. I called USCIS and they said I have to completely refile, pay the fees, wait the time frame again. WHAT?! They sent it to the wrong address, USPS "forwarded" it to us, and lost it, and we have to do this all again? You have GOT to be kidding. :ranting:

So I put in a service request through the website, and also filed a claim with ombudsman since we're supposed to be going to Canada to get the rest of our stuff in a month, and it's 100% unfair if we have to start this entire process again. Does anyone have any advice?

Now my tracker says;

Back from the Social Security Administration after a LONG queue at the office.

They were able to instantly verify me on the spot via SAVE database and the receipt said I should have it within 2 weeks time.

The nice lady at the office told me to come back and get my SSN tomorrow if i need it ASAP.

Time to pull out my resume and start applying

Yeah... we're really upset. We were supposed to go back to Canada next month to get the rest of our belongings. I can't drive because my license expired...I'm literally stuck. It'd be easier if they had delivered it to our old address, but the tracking shows the post office caught it and forwarded it.

I put in a service request under "Card never arrived" on the USCIS website, and contacted the ombudsman office. Service request says it'll take until September 25th, Ombudsman says 60 business days...Now we wait.
