You guys can check the monthly report I-485 at you local office to see how many applicants pending approval denied to see where you at. My local Houston is pending around 7,000 applicants looks like they are really busy. New York is highest applicants around 13,000 pending while Hawaii Honolulu is around 700 applicants peding. I did wait almost 2 years for my visa available to be able to send I-485.

A check of $1070 was cashed by USCIS Chicago on 06/08/2015

Biometrics Appointment on July 1st, 2015

EAD is approved on August 10th 2015 (73 days)

Received EAD card on August 19th 2015

Sent renew EAD on April 9th 2016

Got interview notice on March 30th 2016

USCIS received on April 11th 2016

Interview Scheduled on May 3rd 2016

Approved on the spot - Handed print out approval notice.

Received 10 years GC in hand on May 7th 2016

Thanks codycody! About 4,900 pending for my local office with only about 325 cases getting processed a month - going to be a long one for us if we process locally.

How do you know they are processing 325 cases per month? By the way, the long wait will be longer I expected.I

Rough calculation based on 975 or so cases approved/declined between April 1 and June 30. (Just used family based adjustments.)

I just looked at your numbers and although Houston has 6,500+ cases pending they processed 2,400+ over the last period reported - maybe just 6 months or so for you which is well under the 12 months we often read about on here. Good luck.

Congrats everyone!

I sent a service request to have my address change on August 26 and the same day it was assigned to an officer for response. Now i log in I see it has been assigned August 31 which is weird because it had said August 26. I really hope this does no delay my case because I have moved to a new state and fear they would put me at the back of the line....

Im hoping all these touches means they are searching for an appointment date for me seeing I have been ready for interview since June 22
