We also woke up to an email saying our card was mailed on the 18th! I reeeeeeaaaalllyyyy hope it only takes two days, because otherwise we will have to change our flight. Fingers crossed, people!!!

Some people say we should wait at least 10 days after receiving the card, but a lot of people went right away after getting it and it was successful, I'm not gonna wait, will go next day after I get my card,think we waited enough after approval, no reason to wait more.....

Regarding processing times I learned during the K1 process that the dates posted on the processing times page represent the oldest dated case they last approved. It makes checking on our cases harder because you are not considered past the processing time until your case is outside of the posted date, "outside of normal processing time." So like so many other things I find it best to prepare for the longer date and then be presently surprised when something happens before.

I'm off to take my son on college visits in sunny Cali and on up to Oregon. Good luck getting your cards in hand and any approvals still hanging around. Cheers.

Hi Inna and Chris. I dont seen any possible reason why u should wait few days after receiving ur card to apply for SSN, its the same most members say to wait few days after arriving to apply when some people went the day after.

yeah, that's what I think, it's still early guess you should wait till tomorrow. My mail usually arrives around 3p.m, will see....

We should ask Emcia, she was supposed to get it today by tracking her case?!

Just call CS, first level passed very easy, they need receipt number, and read the information like on the uscis website. Then she transfer me second level to speak to other nice lady, she need my first name, date of birth, kind of application. Then I waited for 5 mins she got back with tracking number.

Then I check my tracking then it shows delivery on Thursday not today

Inna have you tried putting MSC which is 672 then receipt #?

For persons asking about the SSN, I applied 30 mins after I got my EAD card in my hand (same day).
