Thanks! How long from getting the RFE status online did it take for you to get the letter in the mail? The sooner this is taken care of the better :)

It usually take abt one week to receive a letter from them!

Had my biometrics today. The place was full - I was in there for about an hour. Even though I changed my name through marriage, I did not take my marriage certificate with me and had absolutely no issues with it. Just took the appointment letter and my passport and had no problems.

I did receive the case number for the second EAD application last night (my husband received the text and the email), so when I went in today, I asked if the case number could be used for biometrics, so I wouldn't have to go back there a second time. They checked and said that even though the application is in, it hasn't been entered into the system yet for biometrics, which means I will definitely have to go back. It's all so silly, it's not like my fingerprints are going to change in the meantime! I just hope this doesn't delay my combo card being issued. If they are speeding things up, which it seems they are, I can hopefully get my card for when I need it.

Also, just because some people have mentioned it, so far, my case statuses on the USCIS website haven't changed since they were first created.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

From all what I've read and heard it's unfortunately does delay the process on EAD, just try to send back ASAP the papers what USCIS need.

There is usually no updates for the cases after biometrics done, have to wait untill they approve your EAD and interview will be scheduled for I-485, only that way you will have an update, before that we all have the same statuses.

Hi POM - I just did the same and we also have RFE as of July 21st - can't imagine what else we need to send in. I'm hopeful the others are progressing since the status of AP and EAD have not changed. Fingers crossed.

HI. For those who receive an RFE sorry to hear this. I hope you'll get ur RFE Letter soon, in most cases, depending on what the RFE is issued for, it may not affect your EAD
