Would anyone who received a RFE advice if we need to attach the original blue sheet they have sent or the copy of it and keep the original for later? This is kinda urgent...thanks

The original send back to them but keep the copy for yourself to send to your fiancé when your case arrives to the embassy. Good luck! :)

Slightly frustrated at this point. Technically it's 29 business days since our NOA2, by a strict day count it's 36 days. Last night I spent 3 hours on the phone waiting for a person to answer only to have it reach midnight and at 12:10 I hung up. I'm very happy for the folks who are having their interviews now, but it's exceptionally frustrating to be caught with no visibility into what's going on.

The USCIS received my I129F petition on 6/29/15 and It was approved on 7/28/15. Pretty fast right? However, I'm still yet to receive notice from the NVC. I e-mailed them twice already. I suppose I should call them...

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should move over to your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy Colombia.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassy's around the world and there are different process for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through Colombia. VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in the Colombian and the processing of your visa is where you want to be. Link:

Get the US Embassy Colombian K1 Embassy Letter (EL) at http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCIQFjAAahUKEwjxpMeZ_9jHAhWBvoAKHWlIAuY&url=http%3A%2F%2Fphotos.state.gov%2Flibraries%2Fcolombia%2F231771%2FPDFs%2FIVPkt3-4Instforinterviewmedicalexam_Oct2013_.pdf&usg=AFQjCNEpCX1tzqMoy4YxxYDJokypCTqJLw&sig2=shqbIglBK8R2mAJjLWQc8was this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the EL as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview. If it is not on the Embassy letter, it probably is not needed.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Good luck and God's speed.

Hello, we received an RFE on our K1 visa app and sent back the blue paper. I believe it specifically stated to send it back.

In case you are still waiting for your case number from NVC, you can try to call NVC at 6:55 am Eastern time, 5:55 am Bogota time if calling from Columbia and based on my own experiences, the average wait time is between 20 to 40 minutes only.
