Apparently the NOA1 date is the priority date, at least what I saw doing more searching. We have now paid our fee and filled out everything for the ds-160. I definitely caved a bit under the pressure but we are good now. I'm just glad I was here to help fill it out before I left. Hopefully we will have an interview date to report soon!

This journey isn't easy...we went over many hurdles along the way... We are together now, 4 years going strong... It's never impossible, it is a matter of having the strength and love to conquer all things along the way!

It's on the USTraveldocs website when you file and pay the fee. I'm not sure that all countries do the same thing to pay the fee so you may be fine. I was worried I did it all wrong as well but the embassy was nice enough to tell me that I did both steps correctly.

This journey isn't easy...we went over many hurdles along the way... We are together now, 4 years going strong... It's never impossible, it is a matter of having the strength and love to conquer all things along the way!

Okay, so I'm a bit confused!

I am trying to fill out the ds-160 and it's asking for the priority date. I looked at the NOA2 as that's where it's supposed to be but it's blank... What date should I put in then?

Use NOA1 date instead.

NOA2 approval date is 23rd July 2015 and my fiancee (USC) just got an email this morning and mail yesterday. The mail said that the US Embassy in my country ( Jakarta - Indonesia ) had received the approved petition and they're working on the case. The email asked my updated mailing address, updated contact number and updated email address.

We didn't even call, not even once to get our case number guys, cause we know that would be a pain, gonna add our stress and worryness level.. Hard to get into the line and the response of waiting for 35 days thingy, just too many drama. So we decided to just wait and just pray and let God lead the way.. And voila, 32 days after our approval date, the case is received by the beneficiary's US Embassy...

Now I'm going to wait for the next step after my fiancee reply the email and sent the updated information as requested by the US Embassy.

Will keep you all posted guys. Good luck to all of us and God bless us all.. Amen..

The priority date can be used from the NOA1 but we have found that you can put any date in that spot as it is meaningless now. Maybe in the future it will either be removed or be required.

Whats the question where it asked for priority date? I already sent mine in but I don`t remember that question and now I`m worried I might have filled it out wrong!

Your going to be fine. They do not use the priority date for anything now, so it's not required to be exact. We have found that any date will suffice the completion of the DS-160. You have no worries.

You are a rare breed. Everyone stresses themselves out with no need to do that. The process is simple and it's a game of patience. He who shows more, is stress free.

Thank you..

I just cant see myself or my fiancee calling to get our case number like 20 times a day and on hold for hours and hours and the respond is "wait until 35 days" when they do pick up. We both are easily stressed and we're not that patient.. So we only pray cause we believe that good intentions lead to good result.. Praise God we're blessed..

So guys, just hang up the phone and spend time joking around, goofing around and have great fun with your fiancee.. Time flies when your not stressed out.. Dont mind the visa process and just let everything flow as it wants.. And remember to pray... Praying will not change our destiny but it can change how we feel and look at things and praying definitely can calm you down..

So, does everyone get an email confirming that the case was received? From reading the guides I was under the impression that you may not get an email, so you better call and get your case # to be sure. I would rather not stress myself out by calling and waste time by sitting on hold, but I don't want to miss the case # and drag out this process any longer.

same here, we didn`t get any message or notification other than the one when we look up our nvc case number on the website.

First notification we`ll get other than that will be one of these days my packet 3 will arrive here. For some people that`s enough, but I like to plan and prepare ahead. When my packet 3 gets here all I`ll have to do is buy a big envelope and send my documents back cause they`re all ready and waiting to be sent.
