My NOA1 date was on June 17th. Been over 60 days and there's no rfe or noa2. Called yesterday and they told me the same thing that it takes 5 months. I spoke to atier1 officer and same thing again. I told them that there are people that got their NOA2 and their cases were filed after mine. My cases is in the california service center (csc). I thought they were fast. What options do you think I have?

You are not alone ?

I cannot imagine what it must feel like to be in your shoes, honestly my noa 2 took 38 days and I was already "giving up hope" in a way, seeing other people being approved much faster.

Sometimes it just happens to take longer. I`ve seen explenations on this such as, maybe your file is waiting on the desk of your adjucator and he just has a long vacation time. If they`re out for the month but your case has already been given to them, you`re, to say it frankly, S*** out of luck...

If you think you have a good case then I`m sure you can expect the NOA2, or a simple RFE sometime soon though, I don`t believe it will take 5 months.

Don`t give up, there`s always people who have it worse so focus on the good, soon you will be together and this will all be over.

Good luck, keep us updated!

You are right!!

I do not give up .... But we also do not want to wait... Who knows when we can get Noa2

I just got B2 visa ?? and i cant wait to see my love in September in USA?

Though it is not normal to go much beyond 30 days for an approval, each visa submittal stands on it's own. So whenever someone gets approved and you may have filed closely, it does not mean that your case will get an approval shortly. I have seen in my 3 years here, cases that have taken 4, 5 even a year to get approved.

I know you don't want to hear what I just said but, I tell you so you don't drive yourself crazy. This process is a marathon and not a race. Patience will pay dividends.

That`s at least something to look forward! When are you visiting?

My american fiance is coming over and picking some luggage up so I won`t have to drag 5 bags with me when I move, he`s coming to Belgium September 1St!

We got our packet 3 this morning! So exciting! Now I just need to complete the DS-160 and book my medical and my interview. Things are happening fast now! :D

Wow that`s awesome!

I`m assuming our countries will be quite similar, what all do you have to send back? Or do you have to just take everything to the interview?

I`m expecting my packet 3 within the next week.

Did it take long in between the case saying "ready" on the case tracker, and you getting your packet 3?

I`m sorry for all these questions it`s just I`m so pumped to get all of this over with myself :D

We don't have to send anything back, we just fill in our DS-160 and pay the fee and then we can book the interview online and bring everything then. :) My fiancé only got to talk to someone on NVC the other day so we got our packet 3 just a few days after we found out it was "ready".

I'm so excited. I got my police certificate the other day, so now all that's left to do is gather the evidence of support and then go get my medical. :joy:

We just got our packet 3 today. Finally we have our MNL case number. Praise God :-) We just decided not to call NVC and wait for it and we got it today after 30 days of being approved. NOA2 is July 22

Congrats!

Does that mean you did not call NVC asking for your case number last few weeks?

Now I am concerned about where about of packet 3. My fiancee she said letters sometimes gone missing because kids are playing outside the gate ( in Manila) and they could snatch letters and my fiancee went back to her parents place for few days this week, she may have just missed the letter. ( NOA2 date is 7/21 and Embassy receive date is 8/19).

Does the packet 3 require signature upon delivery?

BTW, you may want to get the interview as soon as possible. Yesterday I saw the earliest available date for September is 9/22.
