Hello guys!!! After calling for about 2 weeks every day 3 times a day lol I finally got through and it's been received!!! For those of you applying (Colombian embassy) should I wait until the application arrives to the embassy first so my fiance can start setting up the doctors appointments and interview? And also when should I send him the affidavit of support, paystubs? What other docs he need from me? Does he take these to the interview? I'll be going with him....thank you and congrats to all the ones that are receiving good news =)

That saved me a week.

2. Appointment Instructions (Must have Non Impediment Certificate $100) ( Police Certificate $60)

I would ask the Philippines forum. I know you can in Germany as long as you have your NVC number.

So I waited on hold with the NVC for an hour and a half tonight. I finally got through to someone who obviously doesn't know much. They said my case was received on the 10th but it was just put in the system. I said okay, so what's my number and they were like oh, it's in the system but it takes 30 days to get a case number. Anyone else have an issue with this? I'm calling Monday again to ask for it as it's almost time for them to close. We would like to schedule the medical while I'm over here because the future husband has a thing about needles and needs me to hold his hand lol! Crossing my fingers I find out Monday what the case number is.

This journey isn't easy...we went over many hurdles along the way... We are together now, 4 years going strong... It's never impossible, it is a matter of having the strength and love to conquer all things along the way!

Hi Abbyhawk, how did you receive the notification? Did you have to sign in your USCIS account or was it by email?

I registered my case # at uscis.gov and checked the box to receive text and email notifications. So when there was an update, I received an email alerting me that there was a change. But when I go to check the status online it shows the same message, so either way you should be able to find out.

Good luck!

Former tax accountant here. Your accountant isn't stupid if they are proper deductions. I am slightly curious how they squeezed 16K of deductions out of 22K of income. I am guessing you mean deductions and exemptions. In which case, please understand tax law before calling someone stupid.

Your gross is 22K.
