It's been 41 days and still no word from uscis regarding approval or rfe. I am becoming anxious. I called uscis and this clueless girl said it takes about 5 months for approval. And I told her not the whole thing but the noa2 and she said yea it takes 5 months usually for a noa2.

I know how you feel. Ours are already 50 days since they received it. When you can USCIS again ask to be transferred to a Tier 2. They can better access your case.

All that girl is saying is the standard procedure that no matter how we tell them that those who submitted on a later date than us had been approved. When you call USCIS again ask to be transferred to a Tier 2. They can access your case better.

I got approved on the 21 of July! Now I looked in my case again and there stays I got approved on 29? ####### going on there now? Read in Facebook they had problems with the system! I hope that's the reason !? Weird stuff! Can someone look in the case again who got approved in that time to?

Hi all, a little progress report:

Our petition made it through the NVC stage in about 5 days (after having been received by them, took USCIS about 3 weeks to send it). Just checked the petition's status on the CEAC website and as of this morning it is showing "Ready." For reference, our petition was approved about 1 month ago, and this seems about consistent with the progress of many other petitions.

Wishing you all an easy and successful petition and visa process!

Wow, this process is just a bit crazy. After getting an RFE in early July and responding on the 13th. I checked using the case status page yesterday and we've gotten NOA2. One step closer. The mailed notification should arrive sometime next week. Then it's time to gather new paperwork. I'm hoping we'll get through this in two or three more months.

Ours was approved on the 21st as well and it is still showing up as the 21st on the USCIS website. Not sure why your date would change other than an error. I don't know that it will really matter in the grand scheme of things, just be sure when/if asked about the date it was approved, you go off of the official NOA2 letter they send in the mail. :)

This journey isn't easy...we went over many hurdles along the way... We are together now, 4 years going strong... It's never impossible, it is a matter of having the strength and love to conquer all things along the way!

So a quick update for those of you close to my NOA2 date (July 21st), I have called the NVC twice this week. I called on Monday and then again today (Friday). The first time I called, the girl who answered was quite rude and wouldn't even look at my case. I figured they wouldn't look but there was no reason to be rude. <_< Today they actually asked for my receipt number and looked up the case. She gave me the speech about it taking 35 days and such but also said feel free to call once a week to check on it as there is a high demand for visas right now. I explained to her that I am heading out of the US in just over a week to see my fiancé for a few weeks and will be unable to call internationally so I was just wondering if the case had been received yet. She said no, they do not have my case as of yet but call again in a few days to a week.

I will be calling again either Monday or Tuesday evening and if there is still nothing, I will call again Friday. I take off the following Tuesday so that will be the last time I can call until I get back the end of August. Crossing my fingers they at least receive it before I take off to get a better estimate of time frames here on out. I will keep everyone updated on what the NVC has to say over the next week and a half.
