I didnt get any confirmation (no text, email, or post).

But you'll know its there if you recieve packet 3 ?

same here, we didn`t get any message or notification other than the one when we look up our nvc case number on the website.

First notification we`ll get other than that will be one of these days my packet 3 will arrive here. For some people that`s enough, but I like to plan and prepare ahead. When my packet 3 gets here all I`ll have to do is buy a big envelope and send my documents back cause they`re all ready and waiting to be sent.

That's my worry, that I won't get any notification. And Montreal is NOTORIOUS for not sending Packet 3! Some people never get it, and for some it takes months. Looks like I'll be calling in 2 weeks. Thanks for the info!

yeah if you wanna be sure, calling them won`t hurt. I have found it easiest to get in around 7-7.30 am est time. Took me "only 5-10 tries" at times!

That is smart to do. Don't assume that you will get P3 as in most countries it never arrives. Best thing is to make that call but like you said, "I don't want to be calling 3-4 times in a day".

The best tool to have is the phone app and sign up for myUCIS. There you can check and you will have your answer and you don't find yourself stressing on the phone.

Finally! My fiance got our case number today after patiently calling NVC.

NOA2 JULY 22.. Guys how can I check the status now if our papers are in transit in Kuwait Consulate?

I am still waiting for the releasing of my new passport, it will be on the 7th Sept, can I still fill up the DS-160 or I need passport number as one of the requirements in filling up the form ? Anyway, i didn't yet receive an invitation letter from the consulate so I think I need that also. Please help. Thanks!

Another update for us:

We got in touch with the embassy here in Australia this morning to see if they received the visa application and verify we paid the right fee. We were also hoping they may just give us the date of the interview over the phone but they don't have that yet. They did say we have to wait for packet three and four to come to have our interview scheduled but they were happy to know we already filed the visa instead of waiting for the instructions. I was very surprised but they said it is rare that people know what they are doing with it so they end up sending out the packet generally for that purpose. Apparently me jumping the gun a bit on the ds-160 wasn't a bad thing after all (I was starting to worry I did it too soon!) Basically we are at a stand still until the embassy sends us the two packets, but we don't have to worry about the ds-160 now I have been very patient but figured I would get this done before leaving Australia as my fiance and I were able to do it together and take a lot less time answering the questions.

Basically we are in the final steps which includes waiting for our interview date, scheduling the medical (the doctors schedule two weeks before interview), and getting the police records. Home stretch and I feel more impatient than I did with the first part! Good luck everyone, I'll keep you posted on how it goes with us jumping the gun a bit on the ds-160.

My case was approved today! I sent off the RFE on 8/11 and NOA2 was 8/24. Yayyyy .

Update for us!

Today I received packet 3. In it is a checklist of documents I have to gather, a DS-230 (though I already have one filled out), an I-134 (we already have one filled out as well) explenation on medical examination doctors and what to take there etc etc and the prices

Photograph requirements for the visa, and explenation on how to get my police record, accompanied by a template to send to the ministry of justice.

I have to send back the checklist signing it at the bottom swearing I have asll documents on that checklist in my possession

being a passport, birth certificate, police ceretificate, court and prison records if ever convicted, military records(not for me, only for males), photographs, evidence of support(I-134) marriage certificates and divorce decrees of former marriages if ever married before, have arranged for a medical, and have translations of all documents not either in english or in the official language of the country of the embassy where the interview will take place.

I have to check off if I will be travelling alone or with kids, and if kids accompany me, which they won`t, I have to print out their names as well.

I`m calling this afternoon to schedule a medical! WOOOOOOOOOOOO

And tomorrow I`m sending the checklist back since I already have everything laying here.

They will then send me back an interview date and time or further instructions on how to schedule one. Will definitely keep you guys updated!

Great news! My medical is TOMORROW! I have to be there in between 4 and 6 with my vaccination documents, 4 passport style pictures and two stickers for my health insurance. And a lot of money haha I`m so ready for it!

I just booked my medical interview for the 9 of September only because the case is in transit (left nvc yesterday). I believe that by the time of the medical interview the case will be ready in the embassy. if i am lucky I may get letter from the embassy too

I just got home from my medical! The doctor drew blood, checked my overall health, filled out some forms. We had a chat as well, very friendly man. He said he`d had 5 people coming by today already for a fiance visa medical examination! I gotta schedule an appointment elsewhere for my x-rays I can call them tomorrow. The same day I have to go back for one shot that wasn`t up to dat, being my tetanus shot (last one was 11 years ago and you need one every 10 years). So once my x-rays are taken I can head back to the doctor with my tetanus shot and he`ll finish my file for the interview!
