No police certificates from US needed.

Yes, you should. EVERY single page, excluding the bar-coded cover sheet and cover letter (if you send one).

Saylin, I wonder if NOT having your case number on every page could cause delays, even supervisor review? My lawyer (bless him) for some unknown reason (he said it was to 'get the ball rolling') sent in our IV packet two days before the AOS packet. I almost passed out when he told me he'd send it two separate packets. I also don't know if he wrote the case number on everything. Do you think this is the reason why we went into SR?

Thank you so much Saylin!!!!

Our joint sponsor sent us his tax return forms from his own records not the transcripts. They are about 15-20 pages each. Do i send all those pages? He is self employed so they include 1040s and a lot of other stuff also schedule A,B,C and E. So do i just send the 15 pages for 2012 and 2013 ? or am i supposed to filter out specific pages?

Will sending all the pages delay my case?

If he can't get tax transcripts (they're available online for free and highly preferred at NVC), then yes, you'll need to send ALL the pages (1040, schedules, 1099s, etc). If you leave something out, you CAN get a checklist for it.

Thank you, I can't stop the tears. It's been really hard

We were told to send in the AOS and IV docs which we did, SD 5/27

So far we have DS261, SD. And that's it. IV bill not issued, AOS bill paid but showing as unpaid.

Oh wow, that really sucks...did they send you a checklist or put you under supervisor review yet?

No, not writing your case number wouldn't cause delays necessarily.

The whole point of writing the case number is in case one page (or more) of your package gets lost. If someone finds it, they can easily re-connect it to your package as it'll have your case number on it. If there's no case number, then it's probably safe to assume they'll toss it and checklist you for the missing page.

Now, this MIGHT explain your case delay (if a page or more was misplaced and had no case number written on it), but if you haven't noticed, there are delays across the board right now at NVC, which is what I'm thinking is the issue in your case, not because a case number wasn't written.

Thank you :)

I actually spoke to a really awesome rep at NVC last night to find out if I could get an answer on this whole supervisor review thing. He was understanding, empathetic and actually apologized, saying he could only imagine the nightmare of the separation we have to endure while waiting for our visas. He told me there is 'no rhyme or reason' (his words) to why some cases take longer than others, and why some cases go to SR and not others. He mentioned a few times that it's 'nothing personal' and I should just relax and take it easy and wait for them to mail me that my case is complete. I'm over obsessing over every minute detail and counting days and hours. I'm going to take his advice and just chill. If there's a checklist, we will deal with it if and when.

Thanks so much again :)

I really don't know anymore

We were told it's the SR , but then we were told that this case is going through a 'necessary administrative processing' and that we should wait. And that the 'further instructions will be sent once re processing is done'

Whatever that means.

I got the NVC welcome letter on 19th June and the case creation was 18 June 2015. Its been over a week and unable to login. Called few times NVC and they said it is not working and check back in a week's time. They had asked me to mail the AOS fee in the meantime. Didnt want to do that but after talking to a rep today she again said, they are working on the issue. For me they cant even do the Choose an Agent" because they cant see my case. But I was confirmed that all the IDs were correct. Anyone running into same issue?

Any one had any luck of the DS-260 review mine was submitted on the 1st of May, since then I've had a checklist for my birth cert scan date 8th of June, calling this week in the hope of any kind of news and my 260 still hasn't been reviewed this whole thing is stupid. I know we have to wait for the birth certificate to be reviewed which will be the 30 days even tho it's one piece of paper. But surely the 260 should have been done by now. I think the rep put it under supervisor review. I'm just worried there going to say I have to fill it out again cos they are useless.

Well, until quite recently, going into supervisor review meant you could expect CC within a few days from that, but lately, I don't know what's going on with the NVC - maybe a whole lot more applications than usual - but it seems to be taking a bit longer than that. I don't think you should worry about it either way. I've been in supervisor review for 10 days now and still nothing, but I'm not going to get all upset about it anymore. I'm just going to find something else to do while I wait for CC. It WILL come, for all of us, it's just a matter of time :)

Aw wait, but since I got a checklist, will my case now automatically be put into supervisor review once the documents arrive? I'm confused. My post was regarding the number of days it takes the NVC to review a case when documents have been sent following a checklist.

Sorry Boodaloo1, I got mixed up with supervisor review and checklist. Apologies. From what I've seen, corrected documents submitted after checklist don't take long at all to review. But again, it seems the NVC has suddenly become much busier/backlogged recently, so I don't know this will affect checklist corrections. Holding thumbs it goes quickly for you though. Sorry for the confusion.

If he can't get tax transcripts (they're available online for free and highly preferred at NVC), then yes, you'll need to send ALL the pages (1040, schedules, 1099s, etc). If you leave something out, you CAN get a checklist for it.

Oh man, I didn't realize they took away the option to print it off online :( Oh well, the mail option is still great. When I did that in years past (before they had the online option), it was only a few business days before I received them in the mail.

Saylin, due to IRS website breach, it seems like earlier this month IRS is not letting people download the tax transcripts online. we can still request a mailed copy. I am so glad I downloaded towards end of may when I was collecting AOS docs. the mail option can take 5days (for me) upto two weeks. That being said I would also suggest that if someone is in a crunch, they can said copy of their full tax returns inclduing 1040 and all schedules and itemized deductions etc (not just 1040 alone), copy of w2, paychecks for 6-12 months to support. They are trying to ensure we can prove our income and it adds up.
