Chips!

Hubby called NVC today. Latest word on ds260 becoming available: wait another 10 days.......no surprise answer there.

Word on our paperwork: we got a checklist. My hubby is beating himself up over the fact he forgot to check one little box. I told him to relax, ds260 can't be filed anyways, so. The rep said to him another 30 days processing time for after-checklist docs.

Morgan,

the cover sheet we will get with the check list, is that gonna be the exact same cover sheet with barcode from the AOS/IV package, the one everyone gets in the beginning of the NVC quest?. I just wanna go ahead and start correcting and send stuff in, don't wanna wait another week or so until we actually receive the checklist.

Oh, do you know what they currently say about the processing time needed for ds260?

TIA!

just send any barcode sheet you have it does not matter I did not wait for their stupid checklist one that looks the exact same lol, and they tried to tell me 30 days I've only been able to get a supervisor once and she was of no help kept asking me why I wanted an expedite I said I don't want an expedite right now I want u to click and simply open my ds260 it isn't that hard so I'm waiting till later in the night when they tend to be nicer .

Jeez Morgan, you'd think those reps would be more educated. Even everyone on this forum knows your expedite ship has sailed.

It raakt can't be that hard to answer the Simone question of "have your received my ds260 in good order".

Another quick question. The instructions say we should send in a copy of the letter that comes with the check list. At least, that's what I read in Ash Taz's post above. You didn't do that either?

she sounded like a grandma so oh well lol, I said I just need u to review it they have it in their system they told me I said just click it please, she said I'll get someone to look into it I'm like why not youuu . And no I didn't and many don't cause their too impatient, all that matters is the barcode sheet so they can scan it and know it's for your case . It isn't going to delay it or anything mine got review 33 days after checklist exact same time it took the first time .

The grandma was the super visor? I reckon the normal reps are not allowed to open our docs?

One of my favorite quotes that I read here on VJ: it is better to be grossly over-prepared than even a little bit under-prepared.

So, yes, if one doesn't want to hand-write in their case number on every page, then use labels or stamps to do the job.

I did what you wrote on wiki to put the case number digitally after I scan all the docs and then copy/paste my case number. After 28 days of sending my documents I got a checklist, they couldn't find 2 parts of my e-mail. Two weeks later they finally found it and got my case complete.

Thank you for the very detailed wiki. I kept reading that wiki even before I got approved from the USCIS. Again thank you very much, Saylin your the best?☺

Woohoo, grats! Glad they managed to find your documents after a couple weeks. Although how they lost your documents from an email is baffling, haha.

And you're very welcome ^_^ Glad my wiki was helpful!

Hello,

I take it you filed your ds260 also, and thus they have all the paperwork they need?

Just keep calling them and keep asking, preferably a supervisor. Nvc told my husband and me it can take over 60 days to review the paperwork because of all the approved applications they receive from uscis. They are just super busy.
