NVC Filers - June 2015

Can you fellow tortoises top this:

- I140 approved Oct 7th - when my daughter was still 20

- Case sent by USCIS to NVC after FOUR months on Feb 4th - NO JUSTIFICATION WHATSOEVER for the delay

- Case received by the NVC on Feb 7th - this part was quick ;-)

- Case created by the NVC on Feb 25th, the exact day - you guessed - my daughter turned 21

- NVC ran CSPA eligibility checks for my daughter another THREE months, after which they finally send me the IV bills (including one for my daughter)

- Since then, I have wasted another MONTH with their website issues (IV fees paid by mail, DS260 still locked)

I can only wonder what lies ahead.

So for those of you counting days, don't worry too much, and put everything in perspective:

I am counting months, and am now at SEVEN after my Immigration petition has been approved, and I have yet to file my DS260.

Hey guys I have a question, what's the deal with that supervisor review, today is my 30/30 and I am still waiting, I called yesterday and the rep told me to call next week....my question is does automatically goes to supervisor if they don't do it within the 30 days, or is that random? Thank you

she is turning 15 in august and we're hoping to reunite with my hubby b4 she does

I Pray her case will be moving faster soon. I can relate how you feel. Been through a lot of stressed before with my visa journey. Just feel relieved when finally it was over and reunited with my hubby. Now, Im petitioning my daughter too. NVC received my documents June 4th, Until now, No NVC case number yet. They said wait within 4 weeks and I will received a welcome Letter from them on July 9th. One VJ member said that the welcome letter contain the case number and IIN. Maybe wait for that letter or call them again.

NVC rep confirmed that my scan date is 18th june, and AOS Shows PAID. BUT IV not paid. I seriously don't know what went behind, as we sent both AOS and IV fee, together in one money order and also attached both invoices. He asked me to send an email to nvcresearch@state.gov. I sent. But Planning to call them again early next week to check the IV fee status. Hope to get a response soon..

Omg, so sorry to hear. So frustrating when things uscis and nvc do to delay stuff and then put more stress on you. I feel for you. ?

I got an email from NVC and the attachment is a word document. Which says about give 30 days blah blah. Is that how you guys also received? I doubt on everything because of their issues. When I called the rep said they have loaded our document into their system day before yday. But this document is dated on 19th June and say they received our documents on 16th may.

Whats happening with NVC, will they ever gonnu fix it??

Yes, that's how we got it. A word document stating at least 60 days processing time. The date in the first line is your scan date, not the date from the letter itself.

Just got off the Phone with NVC rep...today is day 31/30. She flagged case for supervisor review and advised it could take up to 42 days (that is so dumb). Guess there's nothing I can do but keep calling and pestering them until CC.

what does this supervisor review means? The NVC send me an email on 2nd June stating that they received our documents on 21st May and to wait toll 30 days for review which ends tomorrow. Is my case is also going to be flagged for supervisor review? any idea?

I am on the same boat as u. My scan date is 21st May. They sent me an email asking me to wait 30 days for the review. I will call next week to see whats going on with my case. I have no idea what this Supervisor Review means :/ Hopefully our case gets completed by next week

Yes, that's how we got it. A word document stating at least 60 days processing time. The date in the first line is your scan date, not the date from the letter itself.

The letter they send you tells you to allow at least 60 days, but the NVC website says 'please allows 30 days'.

means exactly. So frustrating

We're also in supervisor review and were told it's basically just that: a supervisor collects your documents/forms and reviews them, which adds up to 42 days to the process. You can still get a checklist - or case complete - from this.

The reason for ours was the same, over 30 days processing. It's frustrating when you get penalised for their inefficiency, but what can you do?
