Just a quick update

NVC received my case 6/2 I called this morning and it seems I was assigned a case number and an IIN. Ive been reading about the issues with logging in and paying the fees online..... How soon should I try to log in? Should I wait for the welcome letter from nvc?

Thank you for your reply. Thats a good relief to know that the WELCOME LETTER has my Case And ID number. The NVC process really has changed a lot. When me and hubby was on our visa journey before, there was no Welcome letter from NVC at all. I just kept on calling to get hold of the case number and IIN. I will still try my luck to call them again.

Yes, it is a bit of a weird name for a letter that holds such important info.

You can wait for a few days to receive the letter in the mail and/or thru email (we got both) you can also go ahead and call NVC to ask if they can tell you your ID an case number on the phone. Once you have these you can log on to your personal case page and start paying the AOS fee and filing form DS261, the choose an agent form.

Just depends on how patient you are, lol ;p

I see the $325 fee but whenever I check the box and click on the pay button, the "total amount due" line changes back to $0 and nothing happens.

Do you mean that you can't get access to the next page ?

I received 2 invoice emails (same invoice ID) on Sunday June 14. The invoice dates are June 10 and June 12.

The CEAC website shows $0.00 for the invoice amount when I click on pay now.

Wondering if the fix is gradually rolled out to users? Should I wait or go ahead and pay by mail?

Ok, good, so you don't have to worry about the 2 invoices as they have the same number. It just shows how messed up their system is.

I guess you are right about the fix being gradually rolled out. But in your case, you just received the invoice and it takes a few days for their system the show the same as on your invoice, so in your case it could also be just that and not the bug.

I wouldn't necessarily advise paying by cheque but for now it is your only option. I would advise you to call NVC and ask the rep what the better option is: the cheque or wait for the portal. They might have an idea on which will be the "quicker" solution as they might have some insight on how far along the bug fixing is or the manually processing of the cheques.

Could anyone call the NVC and ask about that? Can someone receive a refund for paying the fee twice?

Finally sent the fees by mail and the documents in speed post. It will get deliver today. While I was in uscis and in the process of upgrading our petition, I thought these are the steps we can finish it off in a weeks time. I was having all my documents ready month ago... But now we ended up on this technical issue.

Its frustrating, none of us have patient to wait.. But don't lose hope and never give up.. It may take couple of more months for us to be with our loved one, with the hope and support of this group we can surely succeed. No use of fighting and arguing. For me this is the only group of people who can understand how I feel right now. Not my family or friends. They don't know anything about the process and how hard we fight to move forward.

Lets pray together, All the Gods in this universe shed some light on us, and wish the miracle to happen. Everyday before I go to bed, I wish when I wake up I should get an email from this group saying that NVC technical issue is resolved and all of us are moving forward. Lets Pray together. Together we can win..

Maybe it's a nother conspiracy theory: NVC is filling their pockets with extra money, lol.

my call got dropped after 20 mins of waiting, if they will refund me I am about to pay this bill so dang fast I swear . On hold yet again hopefully don't get dropped this time .

Ok so rep tells me that even if you try to pay again online it isn't going to open the ds-260, that even people paying online can't access it which is bs I've seen otherwise, she said they cannot promise a refund but if you send an email to asknvc requesting a refund and with all the required info that it can be technically possible but not promised . Someone want to take the risk ? Lol
