why u paid by mail if u r able to pay online... Coz if u pay online ur fees will b automatically paid and immediately it shows as paid ur ds 260 will unlock automatically... Thats what happened to me ... I sent my money order by mail and after 3 weeks they said they haven't got my money order even though it was cashed...

I saw before my web page showed 0.00$ for IV bill but after few days it was invoiced....

I paid it online and within 3 days it showed paid n immediately ds260 was available to fill.. I filled it and submitted n got confirmation too... Now waiting to get reviewed...

many of us paid the bill very early in May when there was no fixing the site the fees for a lot of us just appeared within the past two weeks . We didn't have the option to pay online like you .

Can you explain again that last part? Our check was cashed and we got a receipt on May 15th. We mailed it because back then the IV fee wasn't showing anything online.

Now it shows to pay $325. I have considered paying it again (and figuring out a way to get refunded for paying it twice somehow) to see if the DS260 appears.

Are you saying you did pay online even after mailing in a check and got your DS260? Are they refunding you for paying twice?

his check didn't cash through, so he was able to go pay online . They won't refund you so don't bother I've already barked up that tree lol .

It takes up to 45 days, I believe business days even, from ds261 reviewed to recieving IV bill.

Tip, dont re-open ds261 or those 45 days start all over again.

I don't mean the be rude, but you really shouldn't complain after 2 weeks of not having heard from NVC. People on this thread are sometimes waiting for 2 months ore more for anything to happen. You really need to start practicing on your patience, there is no order and only chaos at NVC. ;)

Wow

well, then don't be rude!

Its not few days for us, we are patiently waiting. Our case was approved 04/06! That is two months ago and then some

And because of the website issue we are stuck at not being able to move from DS 261, while there are A LOT of cases that received the IV bill, the cases that were chronologically behind ours. Our MO was cleared on 05/20 and our AOS bill is still showing as unpaid. That is also over 21 days.

It all due to the website issue, I know that

Now, please ... if you have no advice to add, I would like to politely ask you to please refrain from judging

Allright, excuse me, didn't realize you had such a short fuse.

I guess we are all frustrated about how long the process is taking. I am not judging, I am just asking to consider other people's feelings.

In my defense: I did advise on the 45 day processing time, so I do have something useful to add. I also advised you not to re-open ds261. We did, and it set us back almost 20 days. Just want to warn you and others,

We sent the check on 05/20 via express mail, the check was received 05/21, I have a proof from USPS that the check was cleared on 05/22

The AOS bill became available to us on CEAC website 06/10, but to this date is still showing as unpaid

I have submitted a proof via email and express mail but to this date they are still saying that the payment was not received

Now I don't want to be rude, but I would have hope that there would be more compassion for the people stuck in the process and ones feeling helpless after they have been told so many lies and promises.

I feel ya!

I have been following your timeline and your posts on FB as well

One day this will be over, but until that days comes... oh my

I keep going back and forth between them and the embassy their both useless honestly I submitted an expedite at this point (long shot) but I'm almost wanting to waste another 325 some days but I try to avoid that urge lol

We had our Senator contact the NVC regarding this whole website ordeal. They were surprisingly fast and responded by the end of day by e-mail with the same "wait 10 days" bologna. I don't think there's much else to do other than wait.

We keep hearing about the website being fixed, programmers working on our cases, and so on.. Really? Does it take that long for a government agency to fix a website that was working just fine a month ago?

I wonder if there is a formal way to question the Department of State.. Anyone?

Not sure about that

I did find that congressman would do just as fine job as a senator. Besides, congressman would have a lot less cases to follow up then a senator. But anyone of them is a great help.

Congressman will be contacting them on our behalf as well, I have sent the proof of payment and am expecting them to make an official inquiry today or tomorrow

I kind of doubt that contacting DOS directly with a complaint would provide better results then having your state official make a request on your behalf.

Dunno, maybe I am wrong but that's just how I feel.
