NVC Filers - June 2015

I'm really convinced this June 12 date is not a target or hard deadline for them to fix the issue.

From all responses people have been getting from the NVC, including myself before and after that notice was posted online, and the response our Senator got after we made a congressional inquiry (see pasted below), it's more like a "free beer tomorrow" sign on a bar: it will be fixed 10 days from whenever you ask.

Hello, my ds 261 was reviewed on june 5th I got my iv bill invoice via email on june 9th. Still not able to pay online. It shows 0.00 I was wondering if anyone else can't pay online? Called nvc the lady told me to wait 10 days. Should I send the money via mail or wait?

I haven't heard of anyone that has mailed the IV fee being able to fill the DS260.

Our fee was received and processed on May 15 and now, 30 days later, it still shows as unpaid at the website and the DS260 isn't available.

Paying by mail doesn't sound like a solution if they don't input your payment on their system anyway.

What's going on at the NVC?

I received a second IV invoice this afternoon. The first IV invoice was dated June 10. The second IV invoice was dated June 12. Both invoices arrived on Sunday about 7 hours apart.

Still no luck with the online payment system.

We did exactly the same as you did

In our case we managed to send documents once the AOS was paid while you can use the bar-code cover sheet!!

First time I called NVC last June 10 around 7:40a.m. and it just took me 5 minutes to speak with an nvc representative named Arianne. She said our case was received June 4th and I need to call them back after 4 weeks or so.

I called again on the 12th and still the same able to speak with NVC representative within 5 minutes waiting. Her name is Grace and she told me the same date June 4th that my case was received by NVC. But, she told me another info about receiving a welcome letter from NVC on July 9. Have you been told about that guys?

Why wait for that Welcome letter from NVC till July 9th? I will call them again next week.

The welcome letter has your Case and ID number in it which you will need for further processing. It also holds instructions on what to do next.

It usually doesnt take that long from the date that NVC receives your package from USCIS and assigning a case number. For us for example it took 7 days. Take in account a few extra days before they notify you.

Did anybody fill in DS-260 after you sent cashier check? June 13 is already over but I still cannot fill in DS-260?

Nope, checked the website today, still nothing.

NVC confirmed us by email on May 15th that they received our IV fee by cheque. Still no acces to DS260.

On the website it still says 'pay now' for the IV bill, with the amount of 325 dollars.

We had the same thing.

Just check if the invoice numbers are the same.If so, then disregard the second one.

Our ds261 was reviewed on 6/1 and we still haven't received the IV invoice.

It takes up to 45 days, I believe business days even, from ds261 reviewed to recieving IV bill.

Tip, dont re-open ds261 or those 45 days start all over again.

I don't mean the be rude, but you really shouldn't complain after 2 weeks of not having heard from NVC. People on this thread are sometimes waiting for 2 months ore more for anything to happen. You really need to start practicing on your patience, there is no order and only chaos at NVC.

why u paid by mail if u r able to pay online... Coz if u pay online ur fees will b automatically paid and immediately it shows as paid ur ds 260 will unlock automatically... Thats what happened to me ... I sent my money order by mail and after 3 weeks they said they haven't got my money order even though it was cashed...

Can you explain again that last part? Our check was cashed and we got a receipt on May 15th. We mailed it because back then the IV fee wasn't showing anything online.

Now it shows to pay $325. I have considered paying it again (and figuring out a way to get refunded for paying it twice somehow) to see if the DS260 appears.

Are you saying you did pay online even after mailing in a check and got your DS260? Are they refunding you for paying twice?

hardeep its a gamble, no one can predict which way itd be a win, but some of us have been mailing it in and some have been getting lucky getting it show as paid pretty quickly as well.

he isn't doing a spouse visa so his I feel works just slightly different in my opinion . I think he mentioned his was a work related visa of some sort .
