NVC Filers - June 2015

I finally got my IV fee invoiced today (after a two month delay, thanks NVC :protest: ). How long should I wait for the fee to become available on the site before I give up and pay by mail? I'm impatient, but I don't want to delay my case by mailing the fee if this issue is supposed to be fixed by now. I think I read somewhere that when a person's fee was invoiced one morning, they were able to pay it online that night. Is that how it works?

As for me, we're gona wait til the 15th and see if the site's fixed already. Coz sending payment via mail this early is too great of a risk in our opinion. But there are some vj-ers that got lucky who can access the website after sending in payment via mail.

Have you clicked on pay now recently? If you do you will probably see the amount showing up now, which means they fixed the bug. But as you sent in a cheque for your IV bill they need to put it in the system manually. They have until June 12 end if day to do that. After that, if it still doesn't show the link for ds260 you can start calling.

Yes, the IV fee is now payable online but we already sent a money order for it.

Where did that June 12 date come from?

I was able to call them yesterday and was told they have put a note for their programmers to look at it but it could take weeks.

Yes, I know you send in the money irder. We did the same thing.

The date comes from: on June 2nd nvc adjusted the red remark on their website that they are working on the continuing issues and they included a link on what to do if the issues still continue to exist for your specific case. In that info they say to wait until 10 days. Hence June 12.

People who tried to call before got a rep on the phone telling them to call back after the 12th.

But I understand they gave your specific case info to a computer geek to solve your iv cheque/ds260 already? And how many weeks did they say it's gonna take?

My mom was trying to get her DS261 reviewed over the phone for more than a week now but they keep telling her to call back as they cant access it. DS261 was completed 05/08/2015.

So i decided to call the DS261 & Invoice hotline. I was able to talk to this lady and she said that we need to wait 42 days from 05/08/2015 then we are going to receive a mail or email. then followed by IV invoice.

I wonder if its 42 business days or just 42 days from May 8?

Ive seen some user here get their DS261 reviewed over the phone and it didnt take them 42 days of waiting. HOW??

Thanks for any help/info

I called them yesterday on the new number from the CEAC website. I got a very nice rep (forgot his name) he tried to review it over the phone (asked me all the details of my agent, etc) then asked me to wait a minute. He then said he can view my DS-261 but he cant access it because someone else is already looking into it. He made a note or something and said he'll do something (i couldn't properly understand what) and after that i called today and the rep on the phone told me that someone already reviewed it yesterday so i'll get a IV fee invoice in a few days.

I suggest that you try again?

Hello everyone! I'm pretty confused about the NVC process. So I already did DS-261 and paid the $120 fee June 3rd. So what I'm confused is am I going to recieve a letter or email to do the next step or could I just go on the next step? Because when I log into my account it says the $120 fee is paid and DS-261 is complete, but then it say "pay IV now" so could I do that or would I have to wait?

The letter probably explains it and I'm just to slow to understand ? haha, so if anyone can explain it would be very helpful. Thanks!

When you click on the immigration visa fee, can you pay that?

It might be that you haven't been invoiced yet if you can

But that is the next step - pay that fee

Have you sent the docs yet? Both packages?

We are having a payment issue

We sent the docs on 05/20, got a letter from NVC that the docs were received on 05/21, but the reps keep saying that the scan date is 05/27

AOS payment on the other hand.. was sent on 05/20, received by a payment center on 05/21, got a copy of the cleared MO from a USPS, date cleared 05/22

NVC still showing as NOT PAID. Reps keep saying that it takes 21 days, which was today.

I sent the letter today with a payment proof today to an email, via express mail and a copy to my congressman, as they are aware of this long delay.

Might be an overkill but 6 weeks of issues is just about 5.5 weeks too long.
