Big setback today. We received a checklist. I am on the phone on hold waiting to talk to them now. The checklists asks for a police certificate from Romania. From what I read in the instructions, since she has been living in Germany for the last 8 years, we sent a police certificate from Germany. Were we supposed to send a police certificate from both countries?? If we do need to get a Romanian police certificate, it will take about 30 days for the consulate to process that, then 45 days for the NVC to review that one paper. All in all, we may have to wait 3 more months to be together for a piece of paper that has nothing on it since she has no police record :(.

Yes, doesn't matter how long one has been living in another country for. A PCC is required if you lived in another country and you were at least 16 years of age. View the chart here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html(click on Police Certificates).

Instructions on how to get a Romanian PCC can be found here: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/RO.html#policerecord-4If she still has a relative in Romania, then it looks like there's a way for them to get it and there's an option for an express service to receive the PCC back in 3-5 working days.

Thank for the reply. I am understanding it now as I read it. Times like this are so frustrating. We've been trying so hard not to make mistakes. Hopefully we can get this done ASAP!!

Congratulations! When is your interview? Thank goodness, it's almost over for you! My SD is May 8th, so 33/30 for me, nothing yet. Too scared to call again in case I'm just disappointed again!

Thank you! Such a relief to get approved. It was scheduled at July 14th, but I have to push it up a bit, there's too much left to do here in Sweden, we travel as a family of 4 and our company is in full season (short summer here). So I am aiming for autumn instead. :)

FYI, I never called. I'm sure most will get their CC within 45 days at least. Wishing everyone a cc soon, the waiting is the worst.

Our scan date is May 4th. We mailed the IV payment because the online system wasn't working and received an e-mail receipt dated May 15th. The DS260 didn't become available online nor the status changed to "paid"

Today, June 9th, we got a checklist for the missing DS260

Anyone got any luck calling them to make the DS260 available?

Have you clicked on pay now recently? If you do you will probably see the amount showing up now, which means they fixed the bug. But as you sent in a cheque for your IV bill they need to put it in the system manually. They have until June 12 end if day to do that. After that, if it still doesn't show the link for ds260 you can start calling.
