Since no one was able to answer my question i think i'll do it myself

So i just got off the phone with the NVC visa sepcialist (forget her name but a really sweet woman) she told me to do the following:

1. Attach a copy of the extension for 2014 returns

2. Get a letter from the petitioner/accountant stating as to they have an extension on the tax returns

3. Attach the 2013 tax returns and show the 2013 tax returns as the most recent tax returns filed on the I-864

4. 2012,2011 tax returns are optional

She said i should be fine if i attach all these items.

This is just for anyone else in the same situation as me! Good luck to everyone stuck in this process!

I have a feeling the first part is ok but not the second part if you use those years they will almost definitely checklist you, I would list 2014,2013,2012 and put n/a for the 2014 year and attach the letter of extension and a letter hand written from the sponsor etc like they told you why they have an extension . With a letter of employment and pay stubs over time so there's no confusion as well . I don't always trust reps I got a checklist based off of something a rep told me .

Hay guys I'm confused, just received a checklist email dated the 21st of May asking my to submit a DS260 I think. Here's what it says...

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: MAIN, JAMIE LEE CROMBIE

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS:_________________________________

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the address provided.

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

All traveling immigrant visa applicants on your case are required to complete and submit the DS-260 Online Immigrant Visa Application. Even if you previously filled out a DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Form, you must now complete the DS-260 in order to be eligible for a visa interview.

You will find instructions for submitting all required forms and supporting civil documents on our website http://nvc.state.gov/.

Please note the applicant will need the following information to access and complete DS-260:

NVC case number

Invoice identification number

Beneficiary identifcation number for each traveling applicant

If you are unsure of, or no longer have the required identification numbers, please contact the NVC by email at asknvc@state.gov or by telephone at 603-334-0700 and we will provide them to you.

To avoid delaying your visa(s) we urge you to send the required supporting civil documents, for all applicants, together in a single submission as soon as possible after submitting the DS-260.

Your case may be involved with paperless processes for submitting forms and documents. At this time, the availability of paperless processing is limited to selected U.S. Embassies and Consulates. A list of participating embassies and consulates can be found on http://nvc.state.gov/.

Is that what it is asking for cod I submitted it on the 1st of May.

yes that's what it's asking for should probably give them a call to clear it up .

So I will be getting a checklist for my birth certificate but on the plus side because I had the false one I can use that cover sheet to send it in and don't have to wait for the new checklist. Wonder if it will take them 30 days to review on piece of paper?

It has taken them over 30 to review one for our checklist, might be quicker for you though; it's pretty vague! Good luck!

:/ Now i'm confused again! He doesnt have any pay stubs because he is self employed and makes quite a handsome amount :/

So what do i do now? Put his estimated income and attach the returns?

The rep did ask me if i knew his estimated income i said i didn't :S coz it varies every year but is still comfortably above the poverty limit. I wonder if i should call again and ask them if i can put the estimated income and attach the extension receipt?

for annual income that is an estimation but for the 2014 year I would put n/a and then for 2013,2012, put what was on his taxes . And attach the extension letter and have him write a letter saying why exactly he filed for an extension .

:(

40 minutes on hold, spoke to lisa...she was so so..sounded tired :)

basically what she said was "your case was flagged for a supervisor on may 27 (day 34 for us), we have to reset the count from this day on, so please allow us additional 42 days"

im really speechless right now, the whole thing stinks! :ranting:

We are in exactly the same position! It's so infuriating that the 30+ days that we already spent waiting don't count for anything. Now it's 42 days for a supervisor review, ugh! Let us know when you get through as we are only one day behind you (added to supervisor queue on May 28).

Guys Case Complete 35 days after ds-260, just know.

Asked to speak with a supervisor spoke with the rep Sonia and she put me thru after 5 min in hold, the supervisor was named Marcos and he reviewed my ds-260 over the phone and said Miss N. Your case has been completed and waiting for an interview.

Por fin!!! Congrats, now waiting again for interview. No one seems to know when DR starts scheduling but it seems the letters are sent in the middle of the month or towards the end.
