You can pay the fee when you have Visa in hand because you need the Alien # from Visa.

How soon can you work? Do I have to wait on the social in the mail, etc?

My case was completed on 5May, got email notification about case complete on 12May. PD is current (FB 4 visa). No news of interview yet. Hoping to get july interview at Mumbai consulate.

Interview date scheduled on 31 July.... whew... good that they didn't leave us for August... !!! My petitioner was able to get NVC on the phone after trying for the entire day !

Please add me to the CC to interview spreadsheet. FB4 Visa, CC - 5May (Phone), Email CC received - 12May, Interview date - 31 July (given on phone on 3rd June).

Thanks !

If you got interview in July 31st then that would mean I have no chance with cc date of may 21st? :( Edited by just87

You have a different visa type... maybe you might get lucky Or.. maybe they might be working in a reverse order... Starting to schedule from the end of the month to the beginning of the month ! First the NVC people said 13th then she corrected and said 31st.

My interview is at Mumbai.. which place is your's going to be ?... Delhi consulate is very slow...

Hi, how are you VJ friends

i heard something weird today . One of my friend had his interview last week. he was approved. but whenever he checked visa status it shows Administrative Processing .but today he saw the weird thing,it shows Ready instead of issued .is it normal?

as far as i know Ready means Embassy is ready to interview the Applicant .

If you are under Administrative processing (which is odd at NVC) it would be for either your AOS or IV that's all NVC does review and accept. Nothing to do with an overstay.

I would call NVC back and request to speak to supervisor. Maybe you will get Gus.

Thank you, Dear. I better do not call. Last night this weird answer nearly brought me to stroke. Oh my... I just don't know what to do. By the way, I was told that supervisor would not be able to say anything different.

So excited! Finally got an interview day. Madrid July 13th at 2pm! CC was April 14th. The interview was assigned yesterday, the lovely girl in the NVC told me, and I should get notification this week.

Got through in a record 15 minutes as well (15 minutes hold I mean). Got through first time as I called at 7am (1pm in Spain).

Long story short, anyone who is up, get calling the NVC!!! Especially the other Spanish person I saw on the spreadsheet - Job?

Good luck everyone and thanks so much dwheels and everyone else :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy: :dancing: :joy:

NVC can't change the date.... you have to send an email to the Consulate..... Dwheels has a suggested template in the first post.....

Keep me posted if you get one :)
