My interview is going to be on 21 July but I have some questions about what documents should I bring to the interview? Can someone post a list of documnts that I need to bring? Thank you so much

You should receive the email with the list of documents. Meanwhile dwheels first post on this thread has the list.

The only cancelling and some rescheduling of intervews I have seen or heard about have been for K1's. That sbecase of the other issue the DS-160 which effects the fact they can't do security checks. You have already been security checked so no issues there.

Thanks so much for your update, Dwheels.

http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/news/technological-systems-issue.html

I got into Montreal on wednesday around 2, that nite I read your review and I smiled and told myself everything is going to be fine..congrats to u too...I had the same issue with my pic, the one they had was hideous and the new one I took was great so the guy asked which one to use and I told him the better one of course and he laughed. The staff there was great, God bless them..

Awwwww awesome. Congratulations.

Hope the wait for Visa isn't to long but at least for Canada you can still go back and forth across the border.

Thank you, and yes we can go back and forth.. i dont mind the waiting for the visa to be printed, i can use this time to spend time with friends and family and say good bye for now..

I understand the wait coz I have been in the process from Jan 2014 to now. It's a bad feeling. All I can assure you is that it will come to an end. Your baby and family will be together and intact soon. I almost felt like it shall never come to pass, but it did. In a few months your talk will be different, history shall have been made. I wish you and all the very best.

I really can't wait to be re-united with my hubby.. this wait Ntwiga is too much oooh!!! :crying: .. Amen to your encouragement.. we started so well until we reached NVC and started the back and forth moves.. All the best my dear with your re-union too.

Thanks for answering me. So besides me digging out ancient, old wedding photo's (since it's been many, many years) can birth certificates of our children count? Honestly, not sure what I can submit to prove this. The letter I received from the Embassy said cell-phone records, conversations, etc... BUT we've obviously lived together all this time and wouldn't have such records.

Also, I'm sweating it out here in panic. Interview is just two days away and now I get another letter from the Embassy with more directions and requests and it listed Documents and/or Actions Required. One item on the list was I-864-A (Contract Between Sponsor and Household Member). The NVC never asked us for this document, thus none was ever submitted. Now I'm panicked do I really need this form filled out to be submitted. I am the sponsor to my husband but we also have a co-sponsor, my parent. Do I really need the I-864-A or was it simply a standard letter issued by the Embassy thus not always pertaining to me? And if it's really needed who fills out the I-864-A..... me or the co-sponsor?

I love how you have your file in order, everything ready to go and you get a last minute notice from the Embassy giving you basically one day to address additional directions/instructions.

All depends on what embassy you are interviewing at. Yes even double digit folks at some places still have something to prove at some some places and to some CO's its not always a walk in the park

Ok, I suspect I don't need the I-864A. I found this comment on the internet and it basically applies to me...

I called the Embassy again, and after further questioning, found out that:
1) Both my parents and I have to fill out the I-864 (like you said)
2) Only my dad's income is being used to sponsor my husband, so even though he and my mom file a joint tax return, he did not have to fill out the I-864A.

The I-864A only has to be filled out if:
1) The joint sponsor needs additional income (like if my dad would us that of my mom's) to reach the poverty line set by the US government., or
2) If I would use my husband's income along with mine to make our joint income above the poverty line (then I would still fill out the I-864, and he would fill out the I-864A)

I find it so confusing when they send out standard letters to everyone making someone panic over something that may or may not pertain to them. And why the heck does one get a letter from the Embassy on such short notice? Like I needed more stress.

Hi everyone, I have my interview in 3 weeks and my status still says " at NVC " I've called a few times and they said " soon, soon" wondering what I can do, or is this normal timing?

Hi just a little advise, if you keep checking your status on the ceac website everyday, u will just stress yourself out...Just have a little faith that if the nvc scheduled your interview for a specific date then they will definitely send your file to the consulate...just a matter of time...

I have never heard of anyone showing up to the consulate for their interview and their file wasn't there.

In the mean time just get your medical done, get your paperwork in order and try to relax...remember a watch pot never boils. lol..and good luck with your interview.

I wouldn't worry they usually send it a week or two before your interview. Just keep an eye on it.

Where exactly are you checking for case status? Is it the ds260 page https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

Or the actual case status page https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx ?

On the IV page it still says current processesing site as NVC. But case status page says "Ready".

Hi, I am using the second choice. I haven't checked the DS260 in a while.
