Does anyone have any advice on purchasing airline tickets once visa is approved after interview. My interview was 6/5 and ceac went to AP then issued on 6/8. Does anyone think I will be okay to book my flight for 6/21? I'm trying to work everything out with my job so i can get my husband, it is his first time flying so i'd like to get there 2 days before then fly back with him.

My advice until you have Visa in hand do not purchase hos ticket. Especially for Jamaica. It can be 1 to 2 weeks before you pick up your Visa. It's too risky. Unless you want to purchase tickets you can pay a small fee to change. It's up to you.

well we all care for each others opinion that's why we are all here. I don't us name calling each other and getting frustrated with each other will help, this whole process is long and frustrating as is .. sighhhhh.

there have been times its been insanely tough for me e.g. my case got approved more than one month longer compared to filers filing from same country/consulate at same service center but hey each case is unique and i get it. its my choice to "ask" of my spouse to give up everything at his home base and move out here, i could have been nicer and moved to his place :) but the opportunity pastures are green and better here so i am sticking with the process and counting the stars i gaze at :sleepy::cry:

Oh TeJoGB don't cry. I know this process is brutal and the waiting so close to the finish line is just horrible. Hang in their.

Now come on people lets be nice and play nice. We are all in this together no matter where we are in this journey. :goofy:

Is there anything written on the yellow paper at all. A reason? Did they say anything to your husband at all. They did take his passport. That is a good ting. No way to know how long since we don;t know the reasoning. Maybe when your husband gets home he can give more details to you.

Really sorry I know not knowing is brutally painful.

I am in same situation. Interview June 4th. Missed my 2014 w-2( banging my head on the wall every second! Stupid!!) but we submitted same day. They did take his passport and the next day traveldocs website said "your passport is being delivered to post"

What does that mean? Any idea how long??

It's hard to believe, but it is almost time. Only 7 1/2 hours to go. I'm sure my hubby will be at the embassy for at least a couple of hours before he is interviewed, but still... I can't believe how nervous I am. I normally reserve the Xanax for flying, but I think I will be eating it like candy the next few hours.

Indian mentality what the hell does that mean? I guess where you are from having an opinion on a matter is forbidden. Dont make a rant about NVC into a personal or racist issue, thanks.

Hahahahahaha...Racist issue ..I dont know about you...but i am brown skinned ..? Indian mentality here means .."I am going thru this problem and it is causing me grief and i want it fixed and hence i should not have to anything in regards to that..but i want it done asap"..I have seen back in India too...That is the Indian mentality i am talking about...Anyways ..thanks for laughs...Good luck on ur immigration stuff.
