Does anyone have any advice on purchasing airline tickets once visa is approved after interview. My interview was 6/5 and ceac went to AP then issued on 6/8. Does anyone think I will be okay to book my flight for 6/21? I'm trying to work everything out with my job so i can get my husband, it is his first time flying so i'd like to get there 2 days before then fly back with him.

I sort of agree, they do their best with the constraints they have. its not their fault the system is so tedious. as humans they are really nice, i can't imagine myself dealing with irate customers all day long especially in matter as crucial as matter or life or death. nice callout ShivaniVivek

They are not...They work really hard and as fast as possible without any federal money to support..If they were as you say...then millions would not have been immigrate to the US till now...You need them..they dont need you..!!!

I worked in a call center for few years, for an insurance company, we kind of had the same system as the NVC, there was a department working on costumers cases and we were only answering phones, we used to get calls non stop , some complaints, some insults some nice people too. I still remember telling a custumer , you will get the document by email in few days, and he was like: what? you going to deliver it your self I guess ?hhhhhhh Its hard to believe that an email takes few days but since we were working with a batch processing, the email is automated and its programmed to be sent in batchs and it takes some time.

We were not allowed to explain why it takes too long or why their case is delayed. Everything was scripted, our answer was , you have to wait.

Sadely, As we get frustrated with this process, we tend to blame everyone, but,As you said, its not their fault that the system is tedious.

Sorry I don't feel that way. I have seen so many situations where they proved to be completely and utterly unprofessional. Whether be be the rude operator who doesnt want to talk to you and just wants to hang up on you the second they come on. Over a month to pay a fee. Taking 3 weeks to send out a checklist email after you have been notified on phone. Supervisor reviews for simple matters that take 2 months additional to original processing time.

No, I have never seen an organization this incompetent as the NVC, and there is nothing to hold them accountable. This is how I feel, and I dont think I will change my opinion on it. They maybe understaffed and overworked, but we should not have to suffer for it. Fix it!

HAhhaha..Indian mentality...You are free not to come/ bring family to the US.There are over a 200 other countries that can be immigrated to and if you feel that you can do a better job..then by all means join the NVC and show them how to do their jobs. Nobody cares about your opinion and not atleast the NVC or USCIS. You chose this ...now deal with it likes the rest of us...You getting angry or pouting will not move things any faster but it will raise ur BP only.

well we all care for each others opinion that's why we are all here. I don't us name calling each other and getting frustrated with each other will help, this whole process is long and frustrating as is .. sighhhhh.

there have been times its been insanely tough for me e.g. my case got approved more than one month longer compared to filers filing from same country/consulate at same service center but hey each case is unique and i get it. its my choice to "ask" of my spouse to give up everything at his home base and move out here, i could have been nicer and moved to his place :) but the opportunity pastures are green and better here so i am sticking with the process and counting the stars i gaze at :sleepy::cry:

Interview date scheduled: June 4th

Received P4 packet: June 8th

With their system being down maybe who knows. Or maybe they lost your email address. Or do they have your email address. Anyway Congratulations. You are updated.

Hey Everyone,

I have a question. My wife is my petitioner and has been residing with me in UAE for the past 2 years. I have my case approved from NVC and awaiting for an interview date.

Do you guys believe that her staying with me will be an issue in the interview as I have heard that people who have their spouse residing with them don't get their visa approved.

Thanks.

Not an issue long as you have a co-sponsor and she can show domicile in the US. That's usually the big issues petitioners have. Never heard they don't get Visa.

Who received the package? Petitioner or applicant? Because my husband's country has a ###### up mailing system. I'm scared he won't get the p4

The P4 doesn't come from the embassy or country it comes from NVC. Why others are getting mail sent to home I have no idea. A weird thing happening. Hey its NVC.

Indian mentality what the hell does that mean? I guess where you are from having an opinion on a matter is forbidden. Dont make a rant about NVC into a personal or racist issue, thanks.
