No even in line for interview I call uscis and they say they still waiting in FBI background check I don't had no criminal Record I don't know why they talking so long

I believe you can call that division of the FBI to check the status of your fingerprint check.

This is the number 304-625-2000 or 304-625-5590.

their are not only checking people who applied for citizenship , fingerprint from all different department so it can take time . their alot of people who applied aside from you. it doesnt matter if you have or have no criminal records.

hey huckerman sorry to hear that. I called USCIS on my case but the woman just said "can take a number of months blah blah blah. I can give you general information on your local office, which appears to have no delays." She didn't even say anything about background checks or FBI.

I don't know what to do, I know you have to be patient but I don't want to be one of those cases that disappears into the blue for months and months just because someone lost the form or something.

There is no need to get anxious or waste time calling the FBI.

I had applied in June 10th along with the online update form. Even signed up for text and email updates.

I got my fingerprinting done on July 1st.

For 8 weeks, till Aug 9th; the only online update I had was that they had gotten my application.

6 weeks after my fingerprinting - today the online status changed to "inline for interview". I had signed up for txt updates as well, but only got email updates.

Summary:

Dont call the USCIS, or FBI. Relax and let them do their work.

They are not going to do it faster because you called them, neither will the call make your anxiety level go away.

I am sure your case is fine, not lost and they will get to it when they do.

I believe you can call that division of the FBI to check the status of your fingerprint check.

This is the number 304-625-2000 or 304-625-5590.thanks you I call today they told me they don't had that information they say I gotta call uscis to ask about that but it don't make sense I guess I just gotta wait until they put me in line for interview ????

hey huckerman sorry to hear that. I called USCIS on my case but the woman just said "can take a number of months blah blah blah. I can give you general information on your local office, which appears to have no delays." She didn't even say anything about background checks or FBI.

I don't know what to do, I know you have to be patient but I don't want to be one of those cases that disappears into the blue for months and months just because someone lost the form or something.

me too I don't want my case get loss in somebody desk I fell you,that really crazy cuz my friend apply just in Abril 22 and she getting no her oath ceremony this Friday seme city New York so I really don't know why some case take longer the other I know every case is different but I think is dependent of the oficcer who had the case, so I guess I don't had no choose just wait my 3 years be in September 17 I was counting by this time having a lest in line for interview but until now anything yet

I called the FBI number but they say they "no longer give out any information on immigration-related background checks." I guess they must have gotten sick of worried applicants calling in.

i totall agree with you unpradeep .

huckerman your application is not being delay if you going to count it . of course everyone works differently and if ever your application become longer than the timeline thats the time you worry . you cant keep comparing it to other application all you have to do is wait .


There is no need to get anxious or waste time calling the FBI.

I had applied in June 10th along with the online update form. Even signed up for text and email updates.
I got my fingerprinting done on July 1st.
For 8 weeks, till Aug 9th; the only online update I had was that they had gotten my application.

6 weeks after my fingerprinting - today the online status changed to "inline for interview". I had signed up for txt updates as well, but only got email updates.

Summary:

Dont call the USCIS, or FBI. Relax and let them do their work.

They are not going to do it faster because you called them, neither will the call make your anxiety level go away.

I am sure your case is fine, not lost and they will get to it when they do.

I got another update today for TESTING and INTERVIEWING, they are telling me that they are sending me the appointment letter, we do not have a "field" for it.
