My congresswoman did get a response, and it took less than a week. Its below in case others have not seen the official response.

USCIS records confirm that your case is currently pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although the agency makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, our liaison is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed by the relevant agencies.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact your eligibility for the naturalization, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

It depends on what you forgot.

If it's a minor piece of information like a short trip, then you can mention it at the interview.

Hello All,

Today was my interview and my Application was recommended for Approval.

What I didn't understand is why do they say that Your application is recommended for Approval, isn't the person who interviews us takes the decision?? Because in some cases i see they take the Oath on the same day itself.

Here is my experience:

My interview was scheduled at 7:55 AM and Santa Ana civic center.

I went in through security check at about 7.45 AM

At 8:00 AM the VO walked to the hall where i was told to be seated, greeted and took me to her cubicle.

She went through my profile and asked various questions, she kinda was rude at the beginning ( i think they do it purposely to make us nervous and see if at all we're lying about anything) but later on she was very friendly.

She had to do a lot of changes to my profile like change of address, new born daughter, i had forgot to add my visit to Canada.

I owed taxes so she asked me for the documentation and signed agreement from IRS that they let me make payments.

Lastly in Test

she asked me to write down: "We have one hundred US Senators in the USA"

I had to answer:

1. What is our national anthem

2. How old should a citizen be to vote

3. What is rule of law

4. What major event happened on sept 11' 2001

5. Which ocean is on the west coast of the united states

6. Why does the flag have 13 stripes.

I felt she asked me the most easiest questions from the list, I wasn't sure why she asked me the 6th question, anyway i had answered them all correct.

She approved it and now moving the file forward for to her boss to have a look at at it just another set of eyes if anything is missing. Does your local office allow same day oath ? If so, only then you can take oath same day.

Santa Ana does NOT . Once a month oath ceremonies.

Hello Friends - I finally got an email update from USCIS after my bio-metrics in last year July. And the irony is that I was preparing to move from my current job. I resigned in the morning today and right after I got this update from USCIS. I will be here till the end of this month but I am not sure what the date of interview is. I am waiting for the letter. Can I called USCIS and ask for the date?

What happens if I move? I will be just 4 hours drive away from my current USCIS field office. I can drive on my interview and oath dates. Do I still have to let USCIS know that I am moving? Will they reschedule my interview at a local office where I am moving to? And if yes then I am sure this will take longer time.

Please guide me on what should I do.

Can someone also update my case status here?

Do mail forwarding via USPS and also give them your new address dated effective when you move. That way, you'll get the mailed notice from them regardless.
