I-751 June 2015 Filers

I am so happy for you! Would you mind sharing a bit of advice here with a frustrated June 2015 filer :) Did you write to your senator, congressman, or both to make the interview notice arrive faster? Thank you!

No, we didn't write to any politicians. We made an infopass appointment online and gpt an appointment. We visited the local office inquire about the long wait. We were also able to get a stamp on his passport to give him another year extension. I truly believe our visit to the local office triggered for them to put some attention to our file. A few weeks after the visit, we got a letter in the mail to request the interview.

I've noticed that it may be a coincidence they are working on getting the petitions that are nearing their anniversary of the day of petitioner's arrival date to the US. Of course, my hubby first arrived on Sept. 10, 2013 and it will exactly 3 years in two days (Sept. 10, 2016). Very interesting.

So I would bet money that whatever the date of your arrival in the US three years ago, would be around the time you should get notice of approval or go for an interview.

Hang tight and just be patient!

Thank you so much for sharing. I went to an info pass appointment today. The officer initially told me I was approved, and I showed him a service response request dated 8/18 saying my case was sent to Boston field office and pending. He was confused why I wasn't scheduled an interview now that it was in field office. He said he was going to get the files and give me an answer, and after half hour sitting and waiting, he told me my case was sent back to Vermont Center and it showed approved/card in production on his end. I haven't got the approval letter or seen any changes on online status and I'm only 50% relieved!

Key takeaways from infopass experience though: 1. Log right at midnight to see appointments otherwise it can be gone within minutes. 2. It was great to have a Friday afternoon appointment because it was slow and customers were few. I lounged around for an hour and half!

I made a phone call to customer service this morning to make sure address is in system. I change address every Sept 1 and my ROC journey has spanned 3 addresses, and at least 1 mail that was captured went to the wrong addresss. The Tier 2 officer told me there's a note "recommended for approval" on Aug 30. which is not exactly the same as card in production as the infopass officer said. I was told to call back end of month if I receive nothing. Fingers crossed.

Hi Chicha...I also called USCIS last week and I was told that there is a note "recommended for approval" I guess I will wait another month before I call them back. My case was also transferred to CSC from my local office. I am hopeful it is for preparation for card production

Hi Macarena, would you mind sharing what date your petition was "recommended for approval"? Mine was Aug 30 and so far no mail or online update yet.

Keep us posted when you get the approval letter/online status change or green card!

It was actually recommended for approval on the same day August 30th. I was told I would hear something in about 30 days from the transfer date of September 7th.

I would send a service request if I were you. I think that is what prompted all this but they waited until the card went into production. You should not be too far behind.

Congrats Chicha! I think the service requests work....at least in our cases they seem to have. This is great. Celebration time. Mine was an I-751 Extreme hardship waiver and that is why it was such a special approval. I had been turned down by many top shot lawyers saying it is difficult but I trusted God and soldiered on. Here I am with an approval....
