Hi, how do we make sure that we can speak to a Tier 2 officer? When I called, the agent provided me with the same information as online and told me that they are now processing cases at this date and to allow officers to work on these cases before working on my date.

Because June VSC is still within normal time, they may just respond as so and you cannot complain a bit. The best bet for you guys is to call customer service and somehow manage to talk to a Tier 2 agent. Remember "at long last" managed to talk to tier 2 who revealed someone was working on her case and few days later she was approved? It may take several tries to reach to Tier 2 but they have all the information under their hands.

The saddest and the most unfair part for me is a CSC filer who filed more than 4 months after you guys (say Oct 12th) could easily reach to a Tier 2 officer and learn what is going on, whereas after 11.5 months they would resist revealing anything to a June VSC filer.

Has any of the pending cases become eligible to file for naturalization yet?

It may take several tries not but it all takes finding a nice enough tier 1 who could emphatize or play rough as they instruct under that link.

You could also also ask at long last who managed to do this couple weeks ago. Her entry about her tier 2 story is on page 33.

I have always requested to speak to a tier 2 agent/ officer and would be transferred right away! The first customer service agent will only tell you what you can see for yourself online because they have less access to your A-file. Early mornings are the best time to call before it gets busy! Just an update i got approved on 5/11/2016 after RFE and another 2 pounds of paper......but WOOHOO !!!!! my card has been sent on 5/16/2016

My wife's extension letter expires June 1st. So I had to make an infopass appointment.

But I can't select anything in the calendar. Anybody knows why?

I thought once you have the extension letter, the validity of your green card is extended for additional 1 year.

So I think your wife's green card has not expired yet.

Oh I think you're right. One-year from the expiration date in the Green card.

Still no approval for us. But since we filed with VSC, I am not too hopeful it will come anytime soon.

In the meantime, I am putting together my paperwork for naturalization, which I can send in on June 20th. It asks for a copy of my green card. Since I have not yet received my new one, I am putting in my expired one, along with the extension notice. Is there anything else I should include with that (aside from all the other N-400 documentation)? Also, on the off chance my new green card gets approved before 6/20, but I have not received it yet, do I need to wait on sending all my N-400 paperwork in, until I have my new green card in hand (to make a photocopy)?

not sure if it was needed but i also sent a copy of my biometrics notice. If you get approved before you sent your n400, just wait 1-2 weeks for the new card. that much time difference won't change anything for naturalization process. It moves much faster than roc for sure.

Yep, if your approval comes, waiting a few weeks till the card comes in the mail so you can send them copies

ctracker, I think you should also try your chance with a Tier 2 rep first. Someone from July thread just shared how he was able to talk to Tier2 officer. He says keyword is telling the Tier1 agent "I demand to speak with a Tier2 officer".

We just received 'Congratulations' letter about being approved and the new card is being created. However, my wife's online status still shows the case was received (no notification via email or text either).

Anyway, I did contact my congresswoman and senator couple weeks ago - because we were nervous about one-year-extension being expired on June 1st and couldn't get infopass appointment in DC area. Last week on Friday, we managed to get an infopass appointment. But today, it seems like we're approved. So we're going to wait if the greencard arrives before the appointment we're just going to cancel it.

I'd say if you're nearing the one-year extension and can't get stupid infopass appointment contact your congressman - they're very helpful!
