My husband and I spent almost two weeks at Santorini and in Bulgaria in the beginning of October. Everything was great when we entered the U.S. - Houston Internationl Airport. It took us no more than 5-10 minutes. My GC expired at the end of August, so I used the extension letter. The officer asked only one question - where we spent our vacation. That's it.

Good luck to everyone who plan to travel abroad with extension letter and I hope that we all receive our permanent GCs soon.

He should be OK to travel with his soon to expire GC and his extension letter especially after completing his biometrics which would probably be sometime next month!

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On November 5, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number , and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

It seems that the Vermont center will take much much longer than the one in California. Too bad :-( For me the webpage where one can check the status of the case is not working. It says the number can't be found. Anybody else with the same problem? Thanks and congratulations to mabouby.

ecordo, i had a similar problem but that was because i was using the receipt number from the extension letter. but when i got the bio-metric appointment that is the one that you can use to track ur status it should say CR189 front of the number.

This is not intuitive at all... :idea: Its written at the bottom as application number 2. Thanks so much. It unfortunately just says: Case was received. But that was what I expected.

nothing update from vermont office ???

processing time info is still not update so i am not sure what month they are working on

but it seems like feb?march ? they are still stuck on that month... :(

hopefully we hear something good news soon too
