He should be OK to travel with his soon to expire GC and his extension letter especially after completing his biometrics which would probably be sometime next month!

Quick question guys, I applied June 5 for my ROC. Then I received my NOA 1 and did the biometrics, my current GC expires 08\31 and I would like to travel to Germany in November, I am looking to purchase the ticket now. Can i travel and leave the country with an expired GC? I know its easy to leave but the problem is coming back. I will also have my 5month old baby girl with me. The NOA said that I could travel and work while I get my new GC. Anyone has some experience with this? Please all your help is appreciated. Thank you!

You can use your soon to expire GC and your NOA (extension letter) to travel! Alternatively, you can also schedule an infopass appointment with your local USCIS field office and get them to stamp the I-551 in your passport. Good luck to you.

I was just looking at the June 2014 filers page and it looks like everyone from the CSC got approval within months of their biometrics. Is that true? I looked up a couple of the peoples' timelines and their timeline also says they got their approval and new green card within months of their biometrics... I though it takes a year (maybe 6-8 months at best).

We did our biometrics as can be seen in the list. Is their anything I can do to check status? What is the next step, do I just wait for an interview notice or approval in the mail?

Post Office just delivered the biometrics appointment letter today with an appointment of 31JULY2015 0n it. Nice!!! So we missed our appointment. SO I called and they want us to check the box on the letter and send it back for a new appointment. Anyone have any luck walking in after the appointment?

Post Office just delivered the biometrics appointment letter today with an appointment of 31JULY2015 0n it. Nice!!! So we missed our appointment. SO I called and they want us to check the box on the letter and send it back for a new appointment. Anyone have any luck walking in after the appointment?

1 or 2 applicants recently walked in for late bio-metrics (after their notices were delivered late) and had no problem at all! Is this something you would consider? assuming you haven't sent the notice back yet? Good luck to you.

I am happy to report that we got another letter earlier today 8/6/15. The notice was dated 7/31/15 & the envelope was sent out on 8/2/15. Thank goodness! This time it was delivered to our mailbox.

My husband's biometrics appointment is scheduled for 08/20/15.

Please someone can update this for us! Thanks so much! Will keep you posted!
