On February 15, 2007, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. You received a standard letter from USCIS. They all say 60 days, but most things are done way before that, especially with USCIS-Vermont. Your case continues to be processed. There is probably nothing that you can do to make them go faster. I filed in June 2006 and the Interview is in March 2007. That is 9 months! However, USCIS-Vermont is the fastest of the Service Centers.

The time to actually get to the Interview and to receive the Visa after you are approved by USCIS-Vermont may very well be 2-3 months. Your case leaves USCIS and goes to NVC. From NVC it is sent to the US Consulate in Egypy. Then you are contacted with the information packet from the Consulate. You complete some docs and return them to the Consulate. Only then is an Interview scheduled. And it will be a minimum of 1 month after all the documents are received. I wish you luck, everything will work out OK.
