Sorry, I think I've forgotten how we did, it, but we were able to check online, not that it helped. (The GC arrived before status was updated on the website, I think.) Maybe try logging into your uscis elis account? I'll ask my husband, if he remembers, and post then.

The link I posted (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) works for all cases USCIS deals with, not just immigrant petition status. Currently we're using it to check the status of Certificate of Citizenship application we filed for my son. Logically, I assume that it ought to work for GC status too, as GC is issued by USCIS.

Can you lazy Pakistanis fill out your timelines to help other Pakistanis? I know that never occurs or ever has but how about just for the sake that we are all going through the same hurdle.

And no I don't drive Uber.

Yeah that's one thing we have been worried about. I was able to visit him once and we had plenty of pictures from that visit. I can't get another visa to visit again though. I applied to visit back in December for his sister's wedding and was denied. I put the email from Pakistan consulate in our paperwork for ongoing relationship explaining why I didn't visit again. And again I applied last month to visit for Ramadan/Eid but that was also denied.

At this point we are thinking to get married in Dubai and stay there because I can't even go back to Pakistan for wedding and this visa is taking too long. If we have to wait then I wanna wait while being married.

Hi how are you. Were you able to marry in Dubai? Edited by Princessa1126

Hi how are you. Were you able to marry in Dubai?

Hey I am good Alhamdulilah! No we did not get married in Dubai. It is a lot more complicated than it sounds. One us had to be a UAE resident and looking for a job there isn't as easy as it sounds. My husband got his visa approved in the middle of June and we got married here in the US last August.
