Hey all! Out of excitement to receive my NOA1 and also for anyone keeping track of where petitions are currently being sent...

I thought I would announce that I received my NOA1 in the mail on May 26, 2015 which was actually dated May 18, 2015. It was mailed out May 13th. I am from New York and I sent my K1 Form I-129F to the Dallas Lockbox in Lewisville. To my surprise my NOA1 Receipt number begins with "WAC", meaning the California Service center. It also has the Californian service center address on it. I never imagined mine to be sent to California! (I may be too overcome with excitement, but this does mean Cali is processing mine, right?!)

Also.... I am pretty sure this means my petition will *potentially* stay with the California Service Center for the duration of my processing, is this correct?

I do understand that applications can be transferred, but under what circumstances??

Now this is the long waiting part, isn't it? ;):clock:

Thanks!

Congrats hope you get a fast approval!!

Thank you!!!

I know that this is only an estimate but our VJ Timeline states we will be adjudicated within a month of filing..??

This has me all confused (because thats obviously too good to be true, right?!)..Just wondering if you (or anyone) has ever seen the timeline estimate this way. I went to see the CSC processing times (http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=1&option=2&sortby=2) and it does has several couples listed as getting approved within 29-35 days.. can that be true? Or is it just a mistake made by the people using VJ Time lines..

This is what our timeline estimates..

"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between June 18, 2015 and June 21, 2015*."

Thanks!

With CSC you never know, it could be a few weeks, or it could be a few months. In either case I wouldn't expect to be waiting as long as those do at TSC. Prepare for some months and be very happy when it happens sooner. 29-35 days? Yeah it can happen. Once saw one approved in exactly a week.

Because all new cases are going to CSC instead of TSC, it's hard to say if there will be any slowdown. Too early to tell yet. Your timeline will go up and down, depending on the data people are entering in. It's just a rough estimate and may not be reflective of what will happen.

What kind of NOA1 you have received? Because we received the receipt which is the Form I-797C. Is it good or bad? I mean are we gonna wait for them to process it? Until we get our NOA2? Thanks for the help!!!

Hi,

We recieved the reciept Form I-797 C, which is the NOA1. Which is good because it means they are now processing your petition. As I understand the next stage will be recieving your NOA2, but there is no way of really knowing how long the wait will be...as you can see in the comments above.

For more info check.. http://www.uscis.gov/forms/form-i-797c-notice-action

It is a pretty good guestimate. I know a couple approved in 2 weeks and even with my RFE I got approved today in 57 days. so I am guessing sooner had it not been for the RFE which by the way was approved after 6 days!! good luck
