NVC Question!

Hello! I got the NVC letter saying that my I-129F petition has been approved and the NVC will now foward the petition to the US embassy In Ho Chi Minh City.

My question is there any fee i need to pay after this? I keep getting the same letter 4 times already. do i need to do the DS-160 first before they send the petition over?

The petition is on it's way, you can fill out your DS-160. Now that you have your HCM case number you can register at UStraveldocs, pay your visa fee at HSBC and look to see what appt. dates are available. The appt. dates were about 2 months out. So in retrospect if you wait on packet 3 to arrive to register, appt. dates will fill up. It's kind of up to you. The visa fee is 265 dollars.

Thank you so much for the help! I just check the my case status on the NVC site and it is listed as "READY". I will get started on the DS-160, I was just confused why NVC was sending multiple letters of the same thing but different date stamps.

You know sometimes I'm not really sure, April 7th I got RFE text and email, April 8th we got NOA2, I got hard copy NOA2 ....... Roller coaster ride!!!!!!

Start gathering your docs for i-134 and send them to your fiancee or if you plan on being there then bring them with you, the sooner you get an interview date the better for you and your fiancee. Yes. It is required. She can get it in Ho chi minh or the province that she belongs to. Might take a few weeks to get or with coffee money u get it right away.

The police record 2 is the Phieu Ly Lich Tu Phap So 2. Department of Justice office located in the district where applicant currently resides, or at applicant's official residence.

It cost my wife VND 500,000 to get her Police Record #2 in 3 days. WIthout coffee money, I heard it might take up to a month. Some friends paid north of VND 1 million for a copy.

So be prepared.
