after all, we all get called for biometrics a few weeks after we sent the package , right???? not two months...

Meredith

Hi again and thanks for answering

A friend of mine filed for remotion of conditions, she did not receive an apointment for biometrics, only the extention letter, after 11 months she received an RFE, she sent additional evidence; then she received a letter saying that she was going to have a new interview, she did not want to wait and had an infopass apointment, her and her husband went to the disctrict office with the initial evidence and some more, she was very lucky she was interviewed from an Agent who said that everything looked good. She got the 10 years card 2 weeks after.

I have been reading in another forum and 2 more persons were called for interview, it may be a coincidence but none of them received the biometrics apointment letter; both their interviews were easy and they have the 10 year card. I was just asking to see if this was the 4th case of a request of interview where there was no biometrics apointment.

Hi

I know of a couple who filled the petition...and they sent in both names the following:

car insurance , health insurance, bank account statements , tax returns

AAA membership , Vacation itinerary and photos .... It looked like enough evidence...don't you think????

It depends upon the timeframe that the above information covers. This is a removal of conditions submission, and the USCIS is looking for evidence of a sustained marital relationship. If the couple simply sent information that related to the period prior to AOS, no matter how comprehensive it was, it wouldn't sufficiently demonstrate what needs to be demonstrated :)

Hi Texan and Everyone Else,

Good luck on your immigration journey. Likewise, I seem to have the same problem with the utilities too. See my message thread:http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55790 for more info. Oh well, I'll just use what I have, figure out if there is more stuff I can add, and hopefully that will be enough evidence for when I do file (which is a long way off too). And hopefully too that they won't have to call us for an interview.

Ant

I'm worried (even though our filing is a long way off) that I can't see to get any utility to put both names on our bills. Like the electric company will only put one, phone bill only has one etc etc. So we've got bills that are individually addressed to both of us - which seems kinda stupid...

In our case situation with bills is even worse- we live with my wifes family, in the house that belongs to her grandmother, hence no utilities under any of our names and no lease or morgage or anything like that.

We've included the affidevit from my father in law, stating that we do live there and do not pay rent or utilities AT ALL, hopefully it will be enough.

We have joint account and credit cards, though, as well as car insurance. I don't know, why shouldn't it be enough- you can't possibly have every single paper there is!

in the meantime, did anyone have their I751 approved who had the individual bills?

Yes -- we were. Water and gas/electricity were in my husband's name (he is the immigrant), phone and garbage/recycling were in my name. We applied in late-March of last year, were approved in early June so took about 2.5 months.

Just my 2 cents -- don't get hung up on any one thing. Look at your submittal as a whole, what "big picture" are you presenting. If you are weak in one area then beef up the others. Make sure you submit samples covering the entire period from your AOS interview to the present time. We focused on demonstrating joint financial ties (shared accounts/income, shared debts, rights of survivorship) and that other people recognized us as a couple.
