Does anybody know how long Ciudad Juarez is taking to scchedule interview after NVC completes the case for IR5?

I emailed the consulate and they responded that they are taking about 12 months after NVC revies the last documents. It just seems like a long time.

Thank You

Spousal visa interviews other than K3 are taking 12-14 months right now so the info they gave you is accurate.

Why is it taking so long? Ive read experiences fro other countries and it is only a month or two after case is complete at NVC to have the interview. Is it only at Ciudad Juarez that is taking so long? I thought that immediate relatives os US citizens didn't have to go on a waiting list.

THank You

Why is it taking so long? There is a big line of people in front of you.

Other countries do not have such a long line.

CJ and several other countries' posts simply have more immigrants than other countries. There is a finite number of visa *appointments* available. This is not the same as waiting for a priority date.
