Average number of Touches before NOA2

Hi Everyone,

I understand that a "touched/updated" I-129F can mean anything from someone moving the folder to reviewing it. Does anyone know on average (without RFE) how many "touches" a case gets, and how many days after a "touch" before it gets approved for NOA2?

Mine was touched the day of the Noa2 and the day after the Noa2. It seems like it's different for everyone. Some people don't even get touched.

I imagine if you are at Vermont, you will see your NOA2 VERY soon

I remember our NOA1 was touched twice - then the NOA2 approval was sent with the 2nd touch..

Our forms were just received yesterday so I'm hoping on my NOA1 by next week or so. Do they send me an email or do i have to go online to the uscis website and check it manually? Also, will they send me something via "snail" mail? thanks.

Your going thru texas will go fairly quick then on to california. Watch for your check to clear, then you can get on the website to watch your case. Texas wont do the emails but you will get a letter. Nothing is average or normal as you will see.

Thanks for all your encouragement. Although the online case status still says pending, I'm hoping for the best.

As for the question on NOA1 status check, if you can see the cashed check online then you will find your case number on the back of it. You can go online and check it there. Snail mail should come afterward.

What do you guys mean under "touched"??? Sorry I am pretty new at all this. Toched as in mistake and got the forms or whatever paperwork sent back???

You can also check to see if the check has been cashed with your bank Thats a pretty good indication that your NOA1 is coming

Why even bother, what the average number of touches are before you get your NOA2???

Some people dont get "touched" at all and some get "touched" all the time...

Touch means just that, your application was "touched" moved, reviewed, some one looked at it, etc. may mean nothing more than moving it. Some get touched early, some late, some never.

My case was never touched. So, i guess it depends. But I don't think it really matters. Don't worry you'll soon be getting your noa2, I've seen Vermont is very fast. Good luck.
