Just received letter from Embassy, schedule for interview next month. Do I need to bring copy of divorce decree from my fiance coz according to him it was sent to NVC and he didn't keep a copy for himself. And I am also waiting for his affidavit of support I am not sure if it will reach on time coz he's always waiting paystubs and income tax return etc..

Thanks! But is it ok to go for interview jsut in case I haven't completed what is required from the checklist?

Yes, go to the interview of course. Chances are you will get a 221g if you don't have the documents they ask for. Then you visa will be released when you complete requirements.

Were you just assigned an interview date or where you able to schedule it yourself? Sent in a reediness form?

You should definitely do your absolute best to make sure you have all the documents with you that is needed. Yes, you'll get the 221g and can send everything in later but it will look better and you don't risk getting an angry guy saying "why did you even bother to come here when you're not prepared?" (Actually happens). So try to have at least most of your papers ready.

You might want to contact the embassy and ask them if they are okay with just a copy since you sent the original to USCIS and the embassy should already have it or if you're going to need to bring a certified copy.
