That's true. The average it seems to be taking right now is about 20-25 days. So definitely start calling once it's been 3 weeks.

Yes i will do that. What is ur status?

By the way, i have a question and it may be really silly but i m a little confused.. my PD is 2nd december 2013. So according to the new VB, is my date current now or it will become current next month?

My case is complete. Waiting for PD to get current.

Technically you are current as of the most recent VB. That means you are current as of the month of August. since scheduling takes place after case complete you may have missed the scheduling for interviews during the month of August. So even though you are current, a visa number is not available until the next month of scheduling which is September. Hope it helps.

I have already posted this question as a separate topic. But hope you guys can throw some light on this too..

Okay so technically my priority date is current. My case is not complete yet. Delays occurred due to the website issue and i could not pay iv fee and fill form DS 260. I finally did that on 8th july. Now im just waiting...

My husbands oath ceremony is on 22nd july and then he will become a citizen!! Now im not sure whether to continue with my F2A process or should my husband upgrade it? I read that it takes 2 months to upgrade? But im already done with all NVC steps.. would it still take that much time? If any one of you has been in this situation please share your experience. I just want to know what would be better and what option would get my interview scheduled faster. Thanks in advance

Personally, I think that you are more likely to get your GC faster through current processing. Your PD is already current, so there's really no benefit to upgrading. in fact it may take longer to upgrade your case. If your case is completed before the end of the month, you will be scheduled for interview in September.

Thanks for replying. Yes i personally feel the same that I should just go ahead with how it is. I dont want to make it complicated and certainly dont want further delays. I hope my case completes sooon! Its so sad that finally PD is current and case is not complete… *tick tockkk*

im thinking to call NVC on monday or tuesday and ask about my case. And tell them that my PD is current.. so it would be really good if they push things faster! Trying never hurts ;)
