One final question before filing

When filing based on a 3-year marriage to a USC, does my wife have to list the time she still ived in her home country before her arrrival as a "trip" outside of the U.S. during the last 5 years or should she just list the times she's been out of the U.S. since her arrival?

I wondered the same thing but assumed they only wanted trips outside the US within the last 3 years. That's what I listed- not what I did before I arrived here.

Thanks! That's what she listed but it was I that was wondering about it. Now, with having a trip planned to visit her family for 2 weeks in Dec/Jan, we have to hope they can process it with enough time left for her to get her US passport before we leave (or that they take so long that we've already traveled and returned and that the extra foreign trip while waiting won't be an issue.) Our local office shows "August 25, 2014" for the N-400 right now so it looks like it'll be post-travel right around vacation time(!) but you never know with USCIS.
