12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Most-Tuesday and Part-Himmicane Reports, see and see man:

Awoke (after Mini-B. awakenings) to some rain, wet man.

Did not go to office, discretion better than valor man.

Nothing himmicanish, no man.

TV stations wall-to-wall in reporting every puddle on roadways, melodrama man.

In fact, either not raining or actually sunny most of day, with exceptions, weird man.

A rather disappointing himmicane, blah man.

However, just now a combination of breeze & rain has kicked up, hope man.

Mrs. T-B. dropped Mini-B. at new little Chinese* amigo's casa for 2 hours in morn, wee men.

*HongKongian, nofook man.

We up-picked Mini-B. from new little Chinese amigo's casa at noon, unwilling wee man.

Mini-B. forgot monster trucks at said casa, emergency man.

We mollified Mini-B. by playing "Cars" movie, mutually enjoyable man.

Mrs. T-B. then went to Chinese-amiga's casa with Mini-B. for Many hours, social she man.

We got a much-needed nap, but without cat, successful anyway zzz man.

Fielded Many phone calls for Mrs. T-B. during her absence, social she man.

Venturing downstairs to see what's for dinner, pre-ingest man.

Then will probably have Mini-B. duty, we and wee man.

Shall watch TV news for disaster melodrama, good grief man.

On basis of outdoors stuff just begun, good idea not to have gone to office, prudent man.

If there's a bright spot, fever in infants can go higher than in adults without quite as much alarm, si man.
