duh, it was the wife with the gall bladder bits, not Mama T-B. Reading comprehension down, I not get the breakfast yet (writing most of the morning after a garden run).

But what was the most important bit? Mrs. T-B actually put dishes in the dishwasher, afeard that Big Mama see the dirties. That's gotta be a win, somehow !

I'm betting Mrs. T-B ate something un-normal for her in the prior 24 hours.

My daughter was onboard tho. This is the first year that she has been fishing with daddy. I mean real fishing. She's been a champ. Sleeping through 2 or 3 trips, she stayed awake for the last 2.

Nevertheless, the knuckleheads dropped every fish that was hooked. These are big boys, 40-50 pounds.

I started to fight 1 fish, then the current started to take over the boat, so I had to man the helm. My buddy fought the thing for about 10 minutes and dropped it.

1 wired rig, destroyed, must be rewired.

1 umbrella rig, lost.

1 reliable 903 bunker spoon, lost.

1 reel, backlashed beyond recognition

40 gallons of gasoline, spent

0 fish on board......

My super is pretty good, but I don't invite him, because every time I tell him to come, he brings a Chinaman. I told him many times, my boat is not for you to invite your friends....

sheesh. don't you have a gang or crewe that are happy to pay for gas and go fishing with you, on a regular/anytime basis? I have a crew that does garden stuff together, another crew doing reclamation together. We're good at it, have skills, trust each other, plan ahead when we need to, and in general, each get together is meaningful, with purpose and has real definable outcomes.

That's not happening for you. Can you recheck in with your other fishing buddies, or form a new crew of diehard, trustworthy, skills-proven fishing geeks?

I hope you not set yerself up for another failure in the future, really !
