If you can buy it all, why not? I'd rather live out there than in the city any day! All that space. Have horses, maybe a few other animals. Grow your own food. Teach the kiddos how to be self sufficient. I could raise a cow or sheep most likely but my little plots of dirt aren't raising much. Well the one had termites under a broken bit of wood.... :(

So, here's a better shot at the old man's property next door, and the one across the road.

The ranch is 24 acres, and is adjacent my property. The chalet is 8 acres, and sits on the hill across the road with magnificent views.

Ideally, I can strike a deal with the guy's brother to acquire both parcels.

whatju guys think? There's a few pics in the bucket.

I say get em, use em to hold private conferences for the CCP fellas, charge em mondo huge monies on each rental, plus plus for catering and extra stuffs...

Get a termite spray at HD and start spraying. Spray around and on your foundation.

I don't know how much the guy wants for the property. He keeps on adding me to make him an offer. I told him this isn't ebay. So I threw out a number and he laughs.....I'm like, dude, tell me what you want so I can counter....

I'm willing to go 150 for the lower, and 50 for the upper. The total of my 2 lots and these 2 lots is 78 acres. There's also a dilapidated log cabin deep in the woods by the stream...

It's very nice up there. But my livelihood is here. And, I'd go outta my mind living there. But I've always wanted a horse. There's a few stables up there that raise thoroughbreds too. That grass you see is some kinda high protein feed that the farmer next door cultivates.....

Man I'm not bringing the CCP over there what are you ###### crazy?

Next thing you know the neighbors will wanna lynch me for bringing the fooks in to buy up half the Catskills. They're already building a 1000 room casino 10 miles away. Well that's actually the Genting group from Malaysia...

I need a spray for earwigs too. Nasty looking things. Never thought I'd see them here but we've had a lot of rain. I think next year I need to get rid of those plants on the hill and make sure I rake the yard well after the leaves fall.

On other news I went 4x4ing with the kiddo on July 4th. Hubs stayed home. I refuse to have a pavement princess. It was a hard trail but had a few easier by-passes that I took, as it was only my second time driving. Jay said I did very well. (He's hub's best friend.) Everyone admired our tires, which are hard to find and generally back-ordered. I joked that if we get a divorce the tires are going with me. (They weren't cheap!) I hit one rock fairly hard, but the side rail took the damage. One day I may fork out for some real rock sliders. I stalled a few times but above 10k feet, you tend to lose air, esp when you need a catalytic converter.

Kiddo finally was able to see some fireworks but threw up due to altitude so we headed back down. Left the house at 2pm, got home at just past 2am. Long day!
