07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Friday wrap-report, we wrap-artist man:

Achieved weekly POTS quota early, $i man.

Cut out from office early, whee man.

Back still hurting, worried man.

Heavily trafficked casa-ward commute, grrr man.

Got to casa about a minute before Mrs. T-B. & Mini-B., she & wee man.

Announced our intention of mow-lawning, no time like the present man.

Ingested mega-aspirin and usual antihistamines et al., ingest et al. man.

Mow-lawned, industrious man.

Stopped only to change sweatbands Many times, humid man.

Only one hormiga del fuego-hill, where are they after all the rain man.

Lawn continues to qualify for "Best in 'Hood" award, bow at waist man.

Could almost actually bow at waist, renewed flexibility man.

Recovered in time to go to Aldi Foods, but opted for siesta instead, zzz man.

First half of siesta successful, half-zzz man, and with cat, miu zzz man.

However, cat wanted out of room halfway through, unknown why miu man.

Could not re-siesta afterwards, sigh man.

Nevertheless, siesta relaxed post-mowing aches, thereby worthwhile man.

Watched late TV news with cat, watch we and miu man.

Cat fell asleep during, routine occurrence miu zzz man.

Supposed to rain much of weekend, grrrrrrrrr man.

Shall nevertheless hit GSs in morn, tradition man.

Up to Many (from Many) itinerary GSs, acceptable number man.

Will pass by Aldi Foods twice on way to & from one GS, convenient man.

Can therefore use two $Many-off-a-$Many-purchase coupons, whee man.

Have already pre-loaded T-B.-mobile with coupons, bags, & dry-cleaning, prepared man.

Cat prep zzz man.
