That's because they know they can get away with it. No one speaks this mess in public if a black person is within earshot. I had a lady at my old job who almost launched into a tirade about Obama until she saw I was a couple feet away and could hear her. I told her if she had valid complaints about the president, she could speak them. She didn't.

it's worse than that, there is a parts guy that works there that refuses to even speak to minority customers. but he does take the time to make sure they know he is deliberately refusing to help them. no worries, it's just a little 'quirk' of his and he's never been reprimanded. only encouraged.
