I just got an email from Loomis with the tracking number for my visa. This doesn't seem real at all yet. Any other April approvals so far?

Congrats!

Only 19 days to go until my interview. I am getting anxious! Can't wait to see my man, though.

Less than one week left for our interview now! Heading down to juarez on Monday to get a small head start, getting nervous.

Our co sponsor has yet to send 75% of the documents I requested of them, somebody told him he only needed to send the i-134 and he believed them :( very stressed! But I'm determined to get all documents from him.

Also... We did have to change co sponsors last minute and I'll be filling out the new ds-160 tomorrow with the new names... Someone at the consulate when I called advised me to just take the new confirmation page and old one to the asc appointment and that it would be fine? I forget if I asked this already but Anyone know if this is true I'm so stressed out about multiple things!

Nataly222, if that is what the consulate said, then follow their instructions. I know it's nerve-wracking, but I believe you'll be just fine. Good luck! :)

We have 1 week till our interview. Just finished organizing our documents in a tabbed and color-coded file folder. Unfortunately the embassy screwed up our date again (we reserved August 13th online, the embassy sent us a confirmation e-mail saying our interview is on August 12th... the "fun" never ends with this embassy, does it? :ranting: ) but hopefully we can get that straightened out this morning.

whoa!! they "should" because technically the interview HAS to be done before the NOA2 expires. however...some embassies will just extend you're NOA2 lol. either way, email them ASAP and whatever they decide to do make sure you save the email response so they can't come back later and say you never contacted them about it etc. definitely let us know what they say!!

So...I have to submit a scanned signed letter to the embassy saying that our petition will have expired by our interview date and request an extension, as well as state that we are still continuing with the intention of marrying within 90 days and are still free to marry. Apparently they can deny this, but I don't see that happening in our situation. Bizzarre! So our interview date will probably stay as is, October 27th..

that's crazy! i mean...i don't think they'll deny it either...but just the fact that they "could" deny something that's essentially an oversight on their part is just insane to me! ugh...sorry you have to go through all of that BUT...at least you're scheduled and at least you should be all set after that. I hope it goes well!

I totally get that this is more of a ME problem than a visa problem, and I could have made this a thread in itself (or gotten some professional help), but I like this group of people since we're all in the same boat and relative timeframe. So our interview is Sept 1 and I still have to send some documents (my fault, they should get there in time) and my anxiety level is through. the. roof. Like no sleep, no appetite, hair-pulling sort of nervous. And it's still three weeks away!

I'm not even the one doing the interview, I can only imagine what it's like on the other end... What are your solutions to this pre-interview freakout? I'm sure I'm not the only one getting anxious over this.

Whiskey? Lol, kidding!

no sleep, no appetite, I was feeling all sorts of crazy before his interview. I would constantly go over the paperwork at least 3 times a day making sure I didn't forget anything. Always a feeling in the back of my mind if I missed something. Really what kept me going is the thought of my love coming home to me. I felt so sad that he couldn't be here with me and that we all have to fight so hard just to make it happen. I even found this website kind of depressing because here are so many other people just like me that have to jump through all these hoops just to be with the ones they love.

Easier said then done, but patience. Patience, then it will all be done soon and you both can come home together soon.

Checked status in Ceac.state.gov site, visa application is still in transit to Consul. But it also says that interview date is supplied by the NVC. Yet in embassy page it says Consul gives interview date once package 3 is returned. Any ideas? Consul is Dublin btw

Hi, this is all specific to your embassy. Try checking the VJ page on the Dublin embassy and asking this in your region's forums.

Also, another frustrating update for us... we scheduled our interview online for August 13th, but the embassy sent us a confirmation e-mail for August 12th. We told them that it's not possible for us to attend the interview until August 13th, then they sent us another e-mail saying we can come in on August 11th. What kind of logic is that?? :ranting: I swear we're gonna get an ulcer from the stress caused by just trying to get an interview date. Hope everyone else's process is going much smoother than ours. Sigh.

The NVC schedules appointments for CR/IR visas - and that's why the message is there. You can schedule all your own stuff with K-1 (I think you can schedule it with CR-1 as well, it's just that the NVC reserves a place for you, or gives you your "appointment range". Not sure).
