So we received our case number today but that's all they gave me. What should we do next? Please advise. Thank you!

Not much you can do but wait. You can check your case status at CEAC now that you have your case number, but other than that, you're just waiting for them to send your petition to the embassy.

By the way, I have an update on my interview dilemma.

The Paris embassy finally got in contact with us on Monday night. They gave us the exact same instructions as in packet 3, go to usvisa-info and schedule there. When we explained to them that we've been trying to schedule our interview on usvisa-info for a month now, they were basically like "well then call someone else." -_- So we searched around and found a department that can (hopefully) get this thing sorted out once and for all. Today is a national holiday in France so we can't call yet, but we're doing it first thing in the morning tomorrow.

So yeah, fingers crossed this is all fixed tomorrow. Gotta love how difficult the government makes it to find one simple answer.

Thanks so much! Should I search under immigrant or non-immigrant visa? Thank you once again.

Immigrant visa. Also if you just got your case number, you may have to wait a day or two for your case to show up in the system.

Slight update to my case:

Since I'm in mexico with my fiancé and am recieving my mail at home in the U.S. My mom just notified me that I recieved packet 3 today (the so called "invitation" letter with instructions on how to schedule appts and all of that) so considering I have already scheduled my appointments im all set and just need to continue organizing all my paperwork for August 13th.

Heres hoping the the scheduling my interview before recieving the packet thing doesn't affect me. :/

Nataly222 we have the same date for the interview, good luck, and I don't think it will affect scheduling the interview before receiving packet 3, from what I have read on the Juarez consulate, good luck! Hopefully this wait will be over soon!

Awesomeness!! Did they tell you when they received it? Hoping they have mine there soon! Should be about a week or so before they send it off to the Embassy. They use DHL which usually delivers it within a week.
