Mine switched to the same thing yesterday (we also have the same NOA2 :) ). A bit confused about that though, since I have a VAC case number but it says Montreal has it. So I guess I'll find out for real when I get packet 3 which consulate I'm ACTUALLY at.

my guess is it's at vancouver. the same exact thing happened to us.

I had my medical on Monday. The Dr. basically asked me if I had any health issues, and I said no, and that was it. Did not examine me in any way. His only follow up was "You have a doctor that you go to regularly?" and I said yes and he took my money and that was it. They did do a chest xray and I did have bloodwork done. All three things took an hour altogether. (I'm in Toronto.)

I find it so interesting/frustrating how different people's experiences can be based on the beneficiary's embassy/country! It's wild.

My interview is in a little over three weeks! I can't believe it.

yes. packet 3 came in the mail, and then my fiancé emailed his response and they emailed him back packet 4, which is just instructions for scheduling your interview. originally, the soonest interview date he could get was september 8th and we were really sad about it being so far away, but he kept checking every day to see if any dates opened up and august 11th did. so if that happens to you just keep checking. vancouver only does k1 interviews on tuesdays which is why it fills up quickly.

I'll probably do the same thing with asking for it that way. I am kind of sad that they only do the interviews Tuesdays, it makes it difficult with having to do the medical before that and flying to Vancouver. Hopefully something comes up for early September at the latest... Would love to be there in October.

Thanks for the help!

yeah the medical is weird because the only doctor in BC does it the friday before your interview? i don't know which province you're in, if it's the same or not. so i don't know how that works with getting the sealed packet, but it only leaves one business day in between medical and interview. scary...

I am most likely going alone. We are trying to save his vacation days for when I'm there/near our wedding if we decide to honeymoon. So Vancouver alone for a week will probably suck.

Yes that is definitely worth it and what matters most. I'll put up with a week in Vancouver since I have to and I'll try to make the most of it! It's crazy to think that I'll most likely be there THIS YEAR! Waiting is almost done!

Hi fellow canadians! I'm still waiting for case # from NVC but getting things ready in the meantime!

Just wanted to confirm a few things with you guys as you might know more specifically! I'm probably going to Montreal as I live in Toronto.

1) Did you submit the DS-160 form just prior to sending off your Packet 3 by email to the consulate? Or can you submit this before?

2) When you email the packet 3 back to Montreal, you just included the confirmation receipt, the checklist, passport page? Did you send the actual DS-160 PDF or the documents in the checklist (police clearance, birth certificate etc..?) as a scanned document as well?

3) I read something about paying! and we could either pay at NVC or at consulate? Is that applicable to Montreal as well?

Thanks for all your help!!

For the affidavit of support, we have to include a letter from our employer confirming employment, correct? Anyone know what info needs to be included in that (hire date, job title, salary, etc)?

yep! it has to be on company letterhead, it has to have your name (obviously lol) your job title and duties (my job was not able to put my duties in the letter so i printed out my job description from our internal website and attached it), your start date, whether you're full or part time and your salary. make sure they sign it! and make sure you include recent pay stubs (closer to the date of the interview) to prove that you're still employed there.
