Yes it does. i read on another thread that the letter they use for the approval sometimes differs in language, some stating that it goes to the consulate and others detailing the pit stop at the NVC but that they all go through the NVC regardless. I will wait another week and then contact the NVC to see if they have it.

Probable just typical USCIS confusion. I think you are correct.

Steps:

Good morning everyone! Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend!

Quick question: when will my case status be updated again on the CEAC website? As of right now, it says "in transit"...will it be updated again once the embassy receives/opens/does what they need to do with it? That's when it will say "ready" is that right? If so, from that point...is that when we just wait for the embassy to contact us, or is there something else we need to do?

p.s. I just did the DHL tracking again, and it said a package was delivered/signed for from NVC to Brazil this morning (hoping it's ours!!)

Yes, it will change to "ready" once the embassy has it.

As far as what to do after, that differs from country to country. In our case, our status changed to "ready", then the Paris embassy sent us packet 3 via e-mail 2 weeks later. That gave us the list of documents to bring, and instructions on how to schedule our interview and medical. Hi guys. I am registering for my interview right now, (yay!) and I just wanted to be sure. I know k1 is a non immigrant visa but gets treated as an immigrant visa. I obviously choose non immigrant when applying for my interview, correct?? Thanks

In our packet 3, we were told to schedule our interview on usvisa-info as an immigrant visa.

*UPDATE* I called NVC today to see for sure if my case was mailed, and they told me yes...that it was mailed on 7/2. I did the DHL tracking thing but nothing came up for that date...so I did the following dates:

EXP 01 JUL 2015A

EXP 02 JUL 2015A

EXP 03 JUL 2015A

EXP 04 JUL 2015A

EXP 05 JUL 2015A

EXP 06 JUL 2015A

and nothing comes up for any of those dates. the last date that anything comes up for is the one that arrived in brazil today: EXP 30 JUN 2015A

Do you think it's possible that the one sent 6/30 is mine, and the lady was just mistaken about it being sent on 7/2 (considering i checked dates before and after 7/2 and nothing comes up). Or, does it just take time for the DHL website to have the information available? OR (lol) is it possible i'm doing something wrong?

It's so exciting to be able to look at the CEAC and see the case in the Ready status.

Ours case status also went ready. We are so excited! I am just scrambling around trying to get everything printed and ready to send to him, before he ends up having his interview date set.
